Re: STICKY: rpix86 (Raspberry Pi x86 emulator) ver 0.19 released!

I'm not sure what is going on with my version But I tried running the emulator and got this $ ./rpix86 ./rpix86 -a1 -d/home/pi/Downloads -f1 -w640 -h400 * failed to add service - already in use? Fixed, it was because i had this enabled in config.txt #dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-v3d however I'm now getting th...

Re: Dosbox in Fullscreen on the Raspberry PI

This might need updating, as I tried this and it didn't work on Raspbian Stretch.

Re: NEW: Darkplaces Quake engine up and running on Raspberry PI

Just a heads up, the following command does not work on a RPI3 running stretch.

make sdl-release DP_MAKE_TARGET=rpi

Seems to have issue with SDL

Re: Unable to enumerate usb device?

If anyone else has this fault, i recommend posting on a Linux specific forum. Sadly I found it far more helpful then the response i got on here or lack there of. I even messaged the originator of the "usb not working thread" but had no reply.

Re: Unable to enumerate usb device?

I can now also confirm that I do not receive any enumeration errors when plugging the joystick in to my old Raspberry Pi B, running on Linux 7 Wheezy. So I'm now even more inclined to believe the later versions of Raspbian have broken support for certain low speed usb devices, which isn't much good ...

Re: Unable to enumerate usb device?

Amiberry is an application, not an SD image to itself. When I flashed the SD card, it was to burn the latest version of Raspbian :-) I believe I might now know what the problem is or at least have reached the point where I'm able to peak over the wall and get a glimpse of what might be happening. I ...

Unable to enumerate usb device?

So I recently reflashed my SD card so that i could take advantage of the latest version of Amiberry. Re: Help with USB Controller

Just in case anyone else had a similar issue, i discovered the problem i was having was the emulator itself. UAE4ARM has evidently undergone some changes in a recent update and it has fudge up the button mapping.

Hi guys I've just flashed my SD card today as I've been running with an old version of Raspbian. Adjusting DOSBOX output for a small screen

Hey guys

I'm trying to get dosbox to output a reasonably low resolution on a 3.5" screen. I've been sat changing the config file settings but nothing alters the output. I'm running dosbox through the console, not through x11.

Any help at this time would be most welcome :-)

Happy Snow Day! :D

Re: Booting from usb advice needed

Because it was an error and because I'd seen so many threads on the forum that had "booting rpi from usb" in the title and were not aimed at the pi3, that i didn't think it would matter.

Now with the semantics out the way, on to the issue at hand :-)

Re: Booting from usb advice needed

Well so for I've been able to sort the problem out and get the pi booting from the flash drive, i was also able to sort out what was going on the the identical PARTUUID's. Because I'm burning the same image of Raspbian Lite to SD and Flash Drive, it would appear they share the same PARTUUID. The way...

Re: Booting from usb advice needed

That will prove really inconvenient, as it is sometimes necessary to reboot the system remotely. So I wont physically be able to unplug the devices. This is why i wanted to use the PARTUUID to avoid this very problem, hence my original post.

Booting from usb advice needed

So I decided I wanted to boot my RPi2 model B from USB flash drive. However the guide I was following doesn't explain what to do if your usb partition has the same PARTUUID as the SD card Booting from USB is easy on a Pi1, Pi2, or Pi3: 1. Write the latest Raspbian image to an SD card and boot it. 2....
