Re: raspbmc - volume control

you may have solved your problem but if not then... download and install "re-touched" skin for xbmc and now you will have on screen volume control. its a shame that confluence doesn't have on screen volume control since it is a little faster.

Re: Working 7" HDMI Touch Screen with instructions

Everything worked great except the creation of the xorg.conf.d directory and creation of 99-calibration.conf. Once this file is created Xorg will not allow X to boot. I keep getting this error ==) Log file: "/var/log/Xorg.0.log", Time: Tue Nov 13 00:52:58 2012 (==) Using config directory: "/etc/X11/...

Re: USB soundcard...Finally good Analog Audio

Hey

I ordered the same sound card that you have, it will arrive in the next few days. I wanted to ask if you found a reliable way to get good sound in XBMC? I want to use this solution for a Car-PC project and wanted to know if this sound card is good with XBMC sound drivers

Let me know,

About the touch screen, I've contacted an ebay seller which said he has various raspberry customers using this model and very satisfied: HDMI Samsung 7" LED LCD Touch Monitor Kit Out Door Industrail Grade Sunlight Car (136 USD) http://www.ebay.com/itm/HDMI-Samsung-7-LED-LCD-Touch-Monitor-Kit-Out-Do...

Re: OpenELEC vs Raspbmc vs Xbian

Hello, I'm new to Raspberry Pi (had been using Rasbarian to this point) but I'm looking to use a 7 inch touch screen for a car computer project. Which out of Raspbmc or OpenELEC has better support for touch screens? I just want basic movie, music and touch screen support (with the ability to calibra...

Re: Two XBMC (.deb) compiled/prepared for users + instructio

Hello, I installed xbmc on-top of raspbarian. only problem I have now is calibrating my touch screen. The touch screen works but the pointer is way off! Any ideas how to calibrate a touch screen in xbmc using this build? P.S. I have a calibrating tool in X but the changes their are not affecting the...

Re: UNDERvolting

I'm curious, a little off topic but does the power decrease with USB cable length? Currently I'm using a 12 foot USB cable to power my Raspberry Pi and I worried that if not enough power goes to raspi then it will (overtime) damage the device/SD card. just wondering ;)

Re: My brand new Pi won't boot - at all

When I first booted my Raspberry Pi it took about 10 minutes to show ANY BIOS (or signs of life).
I imagine this is because the SD card is being formatted/mounted.

I would wait 15 minutes before going out to buy another SD card.

BTW I have a Class 10 SanDisk 16GB

Hope that helps!

iPhone USB Tethering on Raspberry Pi

Hello Everyone, Recently I followed the instructions found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_yhJ_QBfaU I was able to use my iPhone 4S to tether using USB on the Raspberry Pi (using USB powered hub). I did this by finding out that my iPhone uses eth1 as its main port and then doing dhclient eth1...

Re: Automobile cigarette lighter ground noise

I would suggest using HDMI as the main input. HDMI is digital and the sound quality is going to be alot better then using the analog audio output found on the raspi. The way I would do this is buy a HDMI splitter with RCA audio output: http://www.cabletrain.com/4x2-hdmi-switch-with-analog-audio-outp...
