Re: STICKY: Introduce yourself!

Hi

I am experienced in Unix, programming and Hacking.

I use Linux for graphics and SDL.

I use BSD for most activities, including NetBSD on the raspberry. BSD just works way better, faster for many things compared to Linux (except for C compiler, USB use i.e. missing driver).

Oh man... mount /dev/mmcblk0p1 /mnt touch /mnt/ssh sync umount /mnt/ Once done, you do copy the wifi config: mount /dev/mmcblk0p1 /mnt vim /mnt/etc/network/interfaces wpa_passphrase MYESSIWPAROUTR MYSUPERKY >> /mnt/etc/network/wifi.conf your interface file: iface wlan0 inet dhcp wpa-conf /etc/networ...

Re: Max size of Micro SD card on Zero

The best is to copy the MBR of raspi os with dd of a working SD card. Then, you run : fdisk on the SD card. Create /dev/mmblk0p1 with FAT Copy the kernel and the default files from the raspi os to your newest SD 400 gb or higher card edit on this boot the config file to have the UUID of it into conf...

Re: SPEECH TO TEXT RASPBERRY PI OFFLINE VER

It is possible to run dragon naturally speaking for qemu on the rpi 4 with windows.

qemu emulates Windows older version, but this is not opensource at all.

Re: does x-windows require a physical monitor?

An alternative way is : " apt-get install -y xvfb x11vnc " Xvfb :1 -screen 0 800x600x16 It is then virtual. export DISPLAY=:1 ; blackbox & x11vnc -shared & xterm This way no need of display or monitor, it is pure virtual you can then view from any other PI: xtightvncviewer IP If yo...

Re: Guidance finding the right programming IDE and Language for my first Raspberry project.

The classical mistake of the modern programmer is to start by learning Python, Java,... without having basics. To be a good programmer means there to start learning basics and fundamentals, like opensource Pascal, C and C++. Once this is done, you will have the basic notions for more complex librari...

Running Windows Millenium on the raspberry pi

Hello, It looks like this to run the RPI for desktop and gaming. The workaround to run Windows on PI is advantageous for remote usage of distant connections, like ssh,...vnc with ssh encryption. It looks like this: https://gitlab.com/openbsd98324/virtualbox-windows-me/-/raw/master/screenshot/060221-...

Re: Q3lite - Quake III Arena for the Raspberry Pi

I use retropie and the following files. It is very easy, only the files to ~/.q3a and the executable will run quake 3 q3a on fbdev. Have Fun!
