Re: Interfacing through the MicroUSB port?

I think you misunderstood me. This setup works even if you have no internet. You don't even need a (W)LAN. You just need to set up a dhcp server on your lappy. Or Internet Connection Sharing under Windows. ghans No misunderstanding, just looking for a different way. Didn't want to setup DHCP on my ...

Re: Interfacing through the MicroUSB port?

You can still connect your Laptop directly to the Pi via ethernet. The Pi has auto-sensing , so you don't even need a special crossover cable. ghans The problem I was having was that I had nowhere to connect it to a monitor, and no network to connect it to, and was set to DHCP so it wouldn't have a...

Forcing Command Line Boot

I just wrote this wrote this whole message... and it didn't post. So I'm going to do my best to be thorough even though I'm annoyed having to write this again! The long and the short is, I'm stuck with only my keyboard and a Raspberry Pi that auto boots to the Linux Desktop. I don't know if there ar...

Forcing Command Line Boot

So... I made a slight oversight... I went on a trip and brought my new Raspberry Pi with me, running the Arch Linux ARM from this link . I set it up to auto boot into the desktop. Now I'm away from all my normal goodies... and all I have is a keyboard (I forgot to bring a mouse). I'm wondering if th...
