Re: Small Upnp server mostly for audio files ?

minidlna does what I need as well. I have a feeling I had to bump the default number of inotify watches, in order to get the inotify option to work properly with it, but that probably depends on what directory structure you're using it with. I also tried mediatomb which seemed to offer some more fea...

Re: Pi 2 fstab not mounting usb disk

Just adding a "+1" on this, adding rootdelay=10 also fixed the problem I had when moving a (slow, old) USB drive from a Pi B to a Pi2 B. I had figured it must have been a timing problem given how fast the Pi2 boots, so was gratified to find this thread... Are you intending to add a rootdelay value t...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 6 available

Spotify plugin from Triode in LMS is now running on SqueezePlug HF! Works great, just like the Youtube plugin which is perfect also!! I've just binned my Soft-float installation in favour of the Hard-float plus the latest Triode plugin. Works fine as an LMS. Can't say I've really noticed a performa...

For me, it was only the Spotify plugin...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 6 available

Hmm...have to give it a go.....just have to find a time when I'm awake, at home and NOT using the system! Might be a while ;-) The latest page on that spotify forum thread says that there is a native hard-float armv6 spotify library in Beta now (as of today). That's got to be a better solution than...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 6 available

I've just done a clean install of the V6 Soft Float version onto a 4Gb card. Installed Logitech Media Server, mounted my USB hard drive, configured the LMS & rescanned, and now have Triode's Spotify plugin running successfully via my Squeezebox Touch. Getting the Triode plugin to work was my main ai...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 5 ready for download

Seems like the best way to go, SD cards are so cheap that a larger Flash footprint shouldn't be too concerning for most. I suppose ideally you could offer a complete canned image for downloading onto an SD Card as you do today, and also the additional Squeezeplug content as an installable APT packag...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 5 ready for download

Am I right in that Spotify only works with soft float? If that is the case, could someone give me a link to the latest one? I've been looking for it a lot but since v 5 is hard float its not easy :) http://www.squeezeplug.de/downloads/sp_rpi_408b1.zip I'm working on a SqueezePlug version 5 for Debi...

If you'd only played around a little bit, have you considered reimaging your SD card with the recommended raspbian image and starting from scratch again ? Might be quicker than trying to work out what went wrong...

Re: Permissions on automounted USB drive

Thanks - I understand that FAT filesystems don't have embedded permissions, and I also understand how to manually mount filesystems. My question was specifically about the automounting of USB drives, and where are the configuration files that actually drive that. I.e. what is it that causes the driv...

Permissions on automounted USB drive

I'm running up to date Raspbian wheezy. If I plug a USB flash drive (FAT32 formatted) into one of the pi USB sockets, the drive is successfully mounted... which is good. However, it seems to get automatically mounted as being owned by the "pi" user, and all the directories on the drive have permissi...
