Re: portable game system

Hey fritz, Sorry, your link to the monitor doesn't work. I made a similar device and you can read about it here http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=17679 The hardest part will most likely be figuring out how to handle powering your monitor. Plus you will need to find a pretty beef...

Re: Handheld emulation project

Hey Shryke, I made something very similar to what you are talking about. http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=17679 There is a youtube video link in there also. All of what you propose will work. Allowing the RCA monitor to run off of 5v may be tricky depending on what you buy. I g...

How about this?

My 8400mAh PowerGen is great but this looks like the next version with 9000mAh and one of the ports is still 2 amp.

Re: Retro Portable/Handheld for Gaming and Computer Emulatio

This is too cool. I like the little knob, like it's a lady's oldschool jewelry case. Does it latch? An alternative to brass corner brackets might be to leather (vinyl?) wrap the corners. This might make it easier to hold too. I thought about a latch before I found the knob on an old desk. The hinge...

Hi, I made something similar to what you are trying.

Check it out here-

It was tricky but with patience, it is certainly attainable.

Re: Portable, Self-Sufficient Netbook

I hear you about the satisfaction of building it yourself. This was the same reason I made my little device. I learned quite a lot from the project also and now I am learning much about Linux. That case is a very good idea. It would be nice if you could get a hands on look at it with a tape measure ...

Re: Portable, Self-Sufficient Netbook

Hey zemerson, I like your idea! Having built a totally portable self-contained Pi, read about it here - http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=17679&p=225504#p225504 There are a couple of things though, size and affordability. The one I built cost around $165 including the Pi and is ...

Re: Winulator

If Patrick Alto, the coder of DSx86(a DOS emulator for the NDS) were to port it to the Pi, I bet the performance would be quite something. He mentioned it wouldn't be that hard but I think it would mean re-writing a lot of it. Especially to implement 386. DSx86 is one of the greatest emulators I've ...

Re: UAE4ALL Problem with Enter and Space Keys

I think they both work, will check this afternoon. Return seems to toggle the emulation speed, with one press being a kind of turbo, a second being slow mo and a third returning the emulation to normal speed. My Return key does the same thing. I think it is called SuperThrottle. The problem with th...

Yes I tried that. It maybe that I am not using the df0.adf correctly. It most likely should boot into the GUI.

Re: Full speed Amiga emulator ( UAE )

I have tried both Rasbian distributions (slower and enhanced one). In both distributions "right Ctrl" freezes UAE4ALL app and the whole RPI. Your space, enter and backspace keys work? I didn't have problems with these keys. I suspect that these key issues (maybe) are related with keyboard mapping. ...

Re: UAE4ALL Problem with Enter and Space Keys

Thanks for the reply. I finally got it to compile, I needed sdl_mixer1.2 which I thought was in sdl1.2. Anyway that didn't fix it. My space, enter and I figured out backspace still do not work. Your enter and backspace keys work? I wonder if it is my wireless keyboard? Every other emulated keyboard ...

Hi all, I have tried provided binary http://darcelf.free.fr/uae4all_binary.bz2 . I just tried loading a different bios and ran Street Fighter Alpha 2 and it locked up also. I know it is not Alpha 3. It doesn't say anything different just freezes.

I have no pcsx.cfg and I also can't save my config or anything I believe. It fails to load config every time.

Someone ported gpFCE to a WM8650 netbook and the binary works on the Raspberry using alsa-oss for sound (which needs to be installed). The emulation itself is very good and fullspeed. There is one big problem. When you have sound using the command aoss ./fceu to start, you can start up a game and pl...

UAE4ALL Problem with Enter and Space Keys

It seems no one else is having this problem but for some reason the Enter and Space keys don't work and this is crippling since most games and apps require them.

Anyone have an idea? I can't seem to compile it either.
