I am back: not sure that everything is o.k.

Re: rt5370 (D-Link DWA-125) Wifi not creating wlan0

Another question...

echo 148F 5370 | sudo tee /sys/bus/usb/drivers/rt2800usb/new_id

should be read as :

echo 07D1:3C0D | sudo tee /sys/bus/usb/drivers/rt2800usb/new_id

to have the D-link adapter recognized????????

Re: rt5370 (D-Link DWA-125) Wifi not creating wlan0

in my case firmware-ralink package had already been installed..

Do you think that

sudo modprobe rt2800usb
echo 148F 5370 | sudo tee /sys/bus/usb/drivers/rt2800usb/new_id

should do the trick??

Can you explain what is the second line instruction for??

Re: rt5370 (D-Link DWA-125) Wifi not creating wlan0

I made a comparison between Fedora and Raspbian and I note that rt2800usb and rt2x00usb is not loaded.

I think that this is why dongle is not seen: shall we force its loading by insmod??
