A Robot Story Kickstarter

Found this the other day it's almost over thought it was a fun project. It's marked as US only but at the bottom is hopefully a reasonable shipping for those of you outside the US. I do like the Social Bonus and it has a far way to go but why not try to give it the extra push in it's last 3 days if ...

Re: RASPBMC - More Codecs

No other codecs can be purchased. It would really depend on the codec you are looking for. Typically if they won't play it's doubtful the codec can be imported. But without knowing the codec needed it's all a guessing game.

Re: SSH connection via PuTTY

Just need to port forward 22 on the router and it should be fine. Could be your ISP is blocking it or you have a misconfigured IP setting in there. Or the wrong Public IP. On a laptop or PC behind the router go here and see if the port is opened. http://www.whatsmyip.org/port-scanner/ Go here to see...

Most all Wifi will reboot the pi if hot plugged. Best to boot with it in. When you say it doesn't work is it detected? Plug it in and type lsusb What do you mean doesn't work? Can you scan for wireless devices what steps are you taking. I plan to power the RPi exclusively via the microUSB port with ...

Re: Wrong tool for the job?

I have always been curious of this "Real Time" applications as I am by no means experienced enough to say either way. But as I first read about Machinoid it led me to believe the OS is the hang up to getting Pi to a point where it may or may not be Real Time. So I guess my question is how close coul...

I Like this comment from http://www.techunboxed.com/2013/07/how-to-repair-broken-raspberry-pi-sd.html If you can't wait for the replacement slot to be shipped, that's an instant fix: cut a 17mm x 5mm piece of an old credit card and glue it with superglue on the brocken bar. Be careful with the switc...

I had the same thought about it and unfortunately they can bring Netflix it really was a no brainer for a company to see the Pi as a Media Center and try to hit that market. Re: Pushing Your Pi to the Limit

Each Pi will overclock differently variances in the chip cause this it cannot be controlled or known until you try. As far as warranty issues you can read about it here http://elinux.org/RPiconfig#Overclocking force_turbo=1 doesn’t set warranty bit on its own – only in conjunction with over_volatage...

The Pi needs power
It doesn't need very much
Best to check the source.

A PC USB typically cannot power the Pi It needs 5v 1 Amp Very dim OK is an issue with the Pi unable to read the SD Card I am going to have to go with your not providing enough power to initialize the card. This should also answer the question of the power supply you mentioned your link isn't a link ...

Re: How much does rasberry pi cost?

It really all depends on where you live and where you purchase. Shipping, duty, taxes, and such are not quoted in the $25 model A nor the $35 model B. Some countries have high import fees if that is the right word that must be passed on to the consumer. And unfortunately I think with such high deman...
