For the encoding and decoding of email messages you will need to have understanding of how to encode and decode within the context of MIME and S/MIME message handling if the emails are to be sent over the Internet. You may want to look at the other RFCs (particularly RFC5322 ) that cover mail messag...

Finding ebay electronic suppliers now China is on holiday?

What is the magic to exclude Chinese shops? I can find guides on how as a seller to restrict based on country, but not as a buyer. Considering almost all low cost electronic suppliers seem to be Chinese and they are on holiday it is a tremendous pain to wade through all the "away on holiday" message...

Re: Ideas for having museum visitors indicate where they liv

Um, 'United States' comes after 'United Kingdom'. Except when, parochially, folks put their home country out of sequence at the top of the list. Or after pressing 'U' multiple times to get past United Arab Emirates and then find that is the last in the list, and should have entered "Great Britain"....

Re: NTP without pps

Not entirely sure how much effort you have put in so far, but esr (GPSD maintainer) forked of ntp to create ntpsec, and has released a set of instructions for building an ntpsec service on a raspberry pi.

Otherwise I think the NTP on raspberry pi pages at satsignal are the ones I generally use.

Yes it is feasible - but may depend on which Pi (for example a zero will require additional hardware if using 4 USB mics) What level of education are you, and what course? (school age/university undergrad? - electronic engineering?) Depends on what exactly you are trying to do. I looked into this a ...

Well, er, yes, er, exactly. Sorry I have no idea then. Probably best to find what the circuit design package was, then see what typefaces are used in that.

Depending on exactly which font you are asking about, and under which theme, I presume you are asking about the red heading under the default theme . The fonts are defined in bootstrap-raspi.css This is chivo which is a google font. The easiest way is to highlight some text and then right click and ...

The only laptop that I know of that can do this is Bunnie's Novena laptop, though that is based around a 1.2GHz, Freescale quad-core ARM CPU, and an optional FPGA in an onboard bay.

An alternative might be some streaming method like Limelight/Moonlight embedded? Something about that code looks strange to me, but I can't think what it is of the top of my head - I certainly can't remember whether any of that will attempt or cause address lookups. One suggestion would be to see if changing timeouts to over 30 seconds will allow the timeout of dns, and just acc...

Re: UDP broadcast appears blocked

Was the UDP client trying to resolve the address of where the packets were coming from? This is a possibility for logging purposes for the UDP client, or for the iptables/firewall to resolve a name for its own logs. Another way to check would be to remove the options dns, and put an entry in the /et...

There are several thoughts: 1) double spaces is a holdover from monospace mechanical/electric typing, where there was only one width for a space. You'll probably find this amongst the older (40+) who were taught along the guidelines for secretaries, or had style imposed by their employers. Younger t...
