Re: Pidora armv6hl RPM's: 404?
I'm trying to install openssl-devel and am getting 404's from every mirror I've tried. It looks like the entire armv6hl directory is missing, even on the pidora.ca site: http://pidora.ca/pidora/releases/18/packages/armv6hl bash-4.2# yum install openssl-devel Loaded plugins: langpacks, presto, refre...

Re: No Mono on Pidora?
Hello, I am using Pidora on my Raspberry Pi. I wanted to install Mono (.Net on Linux) but can't find any packages about it. Is there no Mono on Pidora repositories? Hi ZuLuuuuuu, If you post a ticket on trac for pidora we will try to build that package for you. The Url to our trac is: http://zenit....

Pidora HowTo ?
Hello fellow Pidora users I am going to write a few articles on how to do different things. Using the Pidora distro, I figured I should start by finding out what you guys really want to know how to do and go from there so post some replies with your ideas and I will start making them.

Re: yum provides something
I'm not very knowledgeable about yum - as expressed in my other thread, I'm working out the translations between Debian-speak and Fedora-speak. If I do something like: yum provides rxvt I get sensible output. Note that I installed rxvt myself recently (via: yum install rxvt) But if I do "yum p...

Re: Pidora - No python-smbus?
I am trying to talk to an AVR over I2C. I have programmed the AVR and it shows up on the I2C bus using i2cdetect. It seems like it is working. I'd now like to try to communicate using I2C with Python. All the tutorials for this say to install the python-smbus package. Unfortunately this package doe...

Re: startx in pidora
Well got xfce working by: yum install switchdesk switchdesk-gui switchdesk xfce then I ran startx and it worked. I did look for something in /etc/sysconfig/desktop but the file did not exist, even after my switchdesk success. Hmmm thats interesting I think we might consider adding this to future re...

Re: Pidora - No Scratch or Idle3 in repo?
OK - think I've sorted this one out with a bit of research IDLE3 in Fedora is contained within the package python3-tools - which IS included in the Pidora repo. So basically run: yum install python3-tools then at the command line run: idle3 and up comes the idle3 Python Shell! Scratch as far as I c...

Re: Pidora 18 (Raspberry Pi Fedora Remix) Release
In Pidora, is there a headless mode way to expand the rootfs to take up the entire SD card without doing remote Xwindows into the Pi? 'Parted' runs on the command line but I don't know how to expand the rootfs with it. If have opened a new topic to answer this question: http://www.raspberrypi.org/p...

Headless Mode Script Update
Initially there were a few issues with dchp and headless mode since our release the headless script has been updated. It has not been officially added to the updates repo yet but, if you are interested in trying this mode out now you can copy and replace the old headon script with the updated one lo...

Re: rpfr18 to pidora migration
Are there any guides on how to update existing rpfr18 PI to pidora? Is it even possible? I haven't seen that on raspberry fedora. I am not sure if an upgrade is possible. Normally in Fedora voor x86 I should do something like: - boot in runlevel 3 - Install the new fedora gpg keys - yum update yum ...

Re: Open initial setup application afterwards
Thanks for the responses, I believe they are very helpful. It was just easier to re-image the sdcard and start afresh. Thanks again for your suggestions. Re: Pidora 18 (Raspberry Pi Fedora Remix) Release
In response to headless-mode not working I just tested and confirmed that it does work although admittedly it might be a little bit confusing because once headless-mode is enable, the run level remains at 5. So it might seem like nothing happened. I will be posting an updated video soon demonstrati...

Re: Pidora 18 (Raspberry Pi Fedora Remix) Release

Bug tracking for rpfr
We are thinking of possibly changing the way we track bugs for rpfr. So I figured it would be a good idea to get some user input on this from the people who actually use rpfr. We want more feed back from you the users and we want to make the process as painless as possible, so we can track issues mo...

Re: Updated kernel for rpfr18
This is more than likely a packaging problem... The file /boot/kernel.img should have the version-release string so as to avoid this sorta problems. For what's worth, this problem is still present with the most recent release: Transaction Check Error: file /boot/kernel.img from install of raspberry...
