Re: Extremely slow wifi speeds

Tried it on Linux Mint 15, its even worse. Slow speeds, and pings being dropped like crazy. Tons of dropped packets like raspian as well in ifconfig. So I guess the Linux drivers are just messed up with this chipset, or the device itself is flakey. Tried again in windows, and its stable and fast. Oh...

Extremely slow wifi speeds

I have a Bus 001 Device 007: ID 0bda:8172 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. You saying you have wlan0 setup on the pi and you want to share it over the pis eth0? i swear, now its working, with nothing changed.

I know i rebooted like 10 times, made sure what my config.txt was, run cpu intensive apps, and it would stay stuck at 700 mhz..

But now its working fine.

sorry, close the the thread

Question about overclocking

The settings in my config.txt are for a 1ghz overclock with over_voltage of 6, force_turbo off, with a governor set as powersave. I decided to try a wifi usb device that is listed as working without a hub, and Ive found that it does work (as of now, will continue to test it), but now my pi never rea...

Re: USB & Ethernet dead

Day later, and after really stress testing the pi (q3, iperf non stop, dd, md5sum, bc, etcetc), the pi and its usb/networking are 100% functional.

Maybe Im jinxing it, but I would say the heat fixed my dead usb/ethernet.

Re: USB & Ethernet dead

Add mine to the list of just usb & ethernet just died out of nowhere. Freezing the pi "fixes" it for a while, but then the usb/ethernet will just die again. Is there a howto or youtube video on what were supposed to be soldering? Im a newbie when it comes to that.. (like I see the X1 on the bottom, ...

Hopefully its not in the previous pages, but is there any way to set overscan? Im missing a lot of the screen when it runs. Re: FastDOSBox 1.50 now available for the Raspberry Pi

Using the rpix86 from the store and my own compiled fastdosbox, both have negatives and positives. rpix86 is faster, uses the native rendering of the pi. But it has some sound issues (cant get digitized sound to work in some games), has mouse issues (acceleration is way way too slow), and cant mount...

I love this thing, and so awesome youve made it available for the pi. I do have a couple questions though Any way to control mouse acceleration? I was trying Master of Magic (works great), but wow, the mouse is just way way too slow to be playable. It takes me picking up the mouse and repositioning ...

Is the source code on the authors page complete?

Yes it compiles, but wheres the dispmanx support? Or is the author just referring to using the libSDL dispmanx port?

Re: Updated GPU firmware

Interesting, in a 192 memsplit, omxplayer now only gives a grey screen (with working audio) when playing movies. It worked fine before the gpu update. 128/128 memsplit, omxplayer plays the file fine. This seems to be only with reasonably high bit 1080p rips, the 720p and SD content play fine on 192.

Re: Dosbox. What have you got running.

I've manually compiled my own dosbox with (I think) the proper configure options and there is very little speed difference. So while the apt-get binary doesn't have core=dynamic available it doesn't seem to matter. Speed is equivalent to approx a slow 386. Now if we can get the sdl video ported to d...

input_exit_emulator_btn is the variable you can set in retroarch.cfg to define which gamepad button exits the emulator. According to retroarch.cfg the 'h' key is bound to reset. Does that work? (/etc/retroarch.cfg also has defined other keys, so maybe look at it if youre looking for other features)

ps2 and gamecube are pipe dreams, cant see them ever happening on the pi. n64 is probably a long shot as well. all the rest will probably work, with ps1 probably be the one that pushes the pi to its capacity. and yes retroarch using retropie to set everything up for you is probably the easiest. Re: Full speed Amiga emulator ( UAE )

Damn, I cant get it to work in console, always get the black screen, and even "5 downs then enter" doesnt do anything, even piping output gives no messages.
