There is nothing special about it.
I use Logitech C210 which has 640x480 native video resolution. Photo resolution is bigger, but it doesn't count for this.
Make sure you webcam suports this resolution and install the script from my site.
Should work.

solved it myself with v4l-utils

sudo apt-get install v4l-utils
v4l2-ctl --list-ctrls
v4l2-ctl --set-ctrl brightness=200
v4l2-ctl --set-ctrl saturation=32
...
