Re: Compiling DAHDI for Asterisk on Fedora Remix

My first question is do you really need DAHDI support for your Pi? Then you can check the official repositories for your distro and download the sources and follow the tutorial basically it *should* apply to any version. --Added: Here is the link for the Kernel Source of the Pidora 18: http://pidora...

Re: Compiling DAHDI for Asterisk on Fedora Remix

Yes, since I have received my pi is working as my PBX using an ITSP(VoIP.ms) so far 6 calls have decent performance. Im using it with static real time(MySQL) and apache for the GUI(charisma template) and the Doubango's WebRTC2Sip media gateway to support webrtc calls.

Re: Door Bell Server

In Fedora Remix 17 this is how I handle the init script: #!/bin/bash # sensing door daemon # chkconfig: 345 20 80 # description: check if the button on GPIO17 was pressed # processname: ipdoor.sh DAEMON_PATH="/root/" DAEMON="./ipdoor.sh" DAEMONOPTS="&" NAME=door DESC="Check If the Button on GPIO17 w...

Re: Doorbell sensing

You could just change sleep 1 to sleep 0.1 in the script. This will give 10 times better detection, but 10 times more CPU usage. As I expect the usage is near zero it should still be pretty low. As Hoagie said your easiest option is reduce the time in the sleep, I have used 1 second because for me ...

Re: Compiling DAHDI for Asterisk on Fedora Remix

Sure you can do a lot of stuff using the pi and asterisk (you can take a look in my blogs if you want raspimods.blogspot.com asterisktools.blogspot.com) and the job for the guy about the usbfxo its amazing indeed.

Thanks for sharing the link.

Best regards.

Re: Compiling DAHDI for Asterisk on Fedora Remix

For receive calls You can:

--Use an ITSP( often know as SIP TRUNK).
--Use an ATA(FXO-SIP)

But you cant add telephony cards. I want to acquire a USBFXO by Sangoma to test with it.

Re: Door Bell Server

Yes it is exciting stuff indeed. I am still keen on getting an LED to light for say 2 seconds when the button is pressed just to acknowledge to the caller they know the button works but I'm struggling to understand how to build this into a circuit and how to write a script. I also read in a newspap...

Re: Door Bell Server

@navaismo: asterisk -rx 'originate local/[email protected] application Playback beep' Which command should/can be used to create a "real" call? I mean a call from the asterisk server to be able to talk with an other client? I am currently also trying to create such door bell and the pi should be act as as...

Re: Door Bell Server

Hi, Would this setup work without a sound card, if the only thing I wanted to do was make all the Asterisk telephones ring? Yes. Actually if you only want to trigger calls to your phones you don't need the USB sound card and don't need to compile alsa or oss support in your asterisk. I attached it i...

Re: Door Bell Server

This is interesting work, thanks for posting your achievements. I am looking at incorporating a doorbell via the GPIO pins in an Asterisk PBX system. Using http://www.raspberry-asterisk.org I intend to set up an in-home PBX but when a doorbell is pressed it will ring the handsets for 10 seconds. Wh...

Compiling DAHDI for Asterisk on Fedora Remix

Hi, here are some steps in order to compile the DAHDI module for use with Asterisk PBX 1) You need to know your kernel version: [[email protected] ~]# rpm -qa | grep kernel raspberrypi-kernel-3.1.9-11.20120727gitf958199.rpfr17.armv5tel In my case the kernel running is: raspberrypi-kernel-3.1.9-11.2012072...
