Re: Need to create Pi image to send to user

Hi Bosse_b
When one starts on that image in a new system you just use the raspi-config command to expand the file system to get to use whatever size your target SDcard is, no problem.
Do you have the menu items in raspi-config to expand the file system? If you take the image from a...

Re: Need to create Pi image to send to user

I just want to note that IF you need to modify anything in the image you should mount the image like so: https://askubuntu.com/questions/445979/how-to-mount-sd-card-image-created-with-dd/538942#538942 $ fdisk -u -l rpi_image20201009.img Disk rpi_image280914: 16.0 GB, 16012804096 bytes 255 heads, 63 ...

Re: RPI OS arm64 bit realVNC image

Note someone in another topic found it was necessary to use raspi-config from a console command line to enable the interface. Thank you, yes you must use the "sudo raspi-config"->Interfacing Options->enable VNC Once you select yes it will ask you to install the correct packages. Once all ...

Re: RPI OS arm64 bit realVNC image

Thank you I will give it a try. I ordered a second PI4 to experiment with to avoid messing with the Pi4 that I am actively using.

RPI OS arm64 bit realVNC image

Hi All,
Does anyone know when the realVNC 64 bit image will possibly be around. I have used tigerVNC and tightVNC but they pale in comparision to realVNC. I guess that is just my preference ..

Thanks

What if you just want to build your cross compiling toolchain from source?

Re: Need to create Pi image to send to user

Hi Bosse_b
You mentioned that the size of the SD card was 32gb originally. When you create the image where you able to put it on say a 16Gb card since the actually contents of the RPI OS was only ~8GB.

Thanks

Re: Creating an Image after setting up a PI

Hi RPI team,
Is there an easier way to create an image off an existing PI installation so you can install on multiple SD cards for Pis? This post is from 2018 maybe 2020 it got better/easier?

Thanks
Jose

Re: [VNC] Cannot currently show the dekstop

One thing I noticed when is that when you HDMI connected initially and then switch over to VNCviewer you are able to resize the desktop automatically. However if you hardcode the screen resolution , yes it fixes the hotplug hdmi issue but now vncviewer cannot automatically resize your rpi desktop. I...

Re: Can Pi 4 be powered through GPIO pins?

Thanks, I thought that was the case. Now I am trying to figure out the HP Server PSU breakout board. It says it has a 5V 4 pin connector for fans but I am not drawing any power from it.

Re: Can Pi 4 be powered through GPIO pins?

I have a follow on question as well. Are the pins 2 or 4 are both 5V input/output?

Because currently I have a CPU fan on pins 4 and 6 that is being powered.

My question is can I keep the CPU fan on pins 4/6 and us Pins 2/9 to power the raspberry pi?

If 6by9 found the solution for VNC , why is the fixed not pushed to baseline?
