Got it going. Reformatting and Updating the PI resolved the issue. Thanks for the help. I thought it had updated on the initial install but I ran through the update and that cleared it up. Is there any way you could reformat that drive as EXT4? Running NTFS on Linux systems is an ugly hack.

Formatting with ext4 didn't help. It appears it is locking up all usb ports.
