from the fc -l listing 380 was the remove --purge

If you want I have teamviewer installed and can let you see for yourself.

Code: Select all

379 mv linux-firmware-raspi2.postrm /tmp/linux-firmware-raspi2.postrm
380 apt remove --purge linux-firmware-raspi2

Re: New Ubuntu Mate arm64 RaspberryPi 4 image (minimal and server images also available)

I am getting an error on the 20.04 image - it has patched fine for months now I get an error and the popup box says /boot is too small. How do I get around this and fixed - I know I could uninstall bluetooth but what is the correct fix. Unpacking pi-bluetooth (0.1.15ubuntu2-lobo) over (0.1.15ubuntu0...

Re: Raspberry Pi 4b - Ubuntu 20.04 64bit Freezing

Try the Loboris version of 20.04 - Mine has run fine for months - on a newer kernel running Pi-hole - no lockups at all.

It might be that your power supply is not large enough - the 8gb pi needs well over 3 amps at 5volts.

The loboris image resizes automatically on first boot - then reboots with root taking all the remaining space on the sd card.

Re: New Ubuntu Mate arm64 RaspberryPi 4 image (minimal and server images also available)

I had no issues with this image "64bit Mate desktop on ext4" - are you using linux app "disks" to make your image with to micro card? It is designed to move the image to the micro card - no expansion required. I wonder if there is a way to update 10.04 to 10.10 without starting o...

Re: Use Ubuntu 20.10 or UbuntuMATE?

Loboris version of Ubuntu Mate is the most stable Ubuntu Mate and you can get the latest kernel as well. Loboris has fixed almost everything that Ubuntu left broken. I have 2 8gb pi4's with this and I installed pi-hole to get rid of ads and have my router point to it for DNS. https://www.raspberrypi...

Re: Pi4 8GB ubuntu Desktop maintain rights/privileges whilst headless

I use X11vnc on my Pi4B and have no issues with VNC Viewer to connect to my Pi4B. It is exactly the same screen as if I was on the keyboard mouse and screen attached to my Pi4B. I have a Mate Startup pointed to my VNC startup script - here it is (change the mppassword to what you want) $ cat vnc #!/...

Re: New Ubuntu Mate arm64 RaspberryPi 4 image (minimal and server images also available)

How are you making the sd card image that is not working? I think you have used the wrong commands. I have had no issues but I know what I am doing and how to use the gnome-disk-utility to create the loboris Ubuntu Mate image. You cannot use dd to make it unless you expand it first.

I tried to get things working with the pure Ubuntu but things kept failing to work as expected
Loboris has fixed all the problems in the Ubuntu image. Get it here:

Re: Ubuntu 18.04.05 wont boot with GPIO connected

New thought, GPIO pins 8 and 10 connected might cause the Ubuntu Loader to think you have a console terminal attached and its waiting for input from the terminal or it's getting garbage from the controller and does not know what to do next. Many old Unix Computers from the 1970's did that if it dete...

Re: Ubuntu 18.04.05 wont boot with GPIO connected

My guess is you do not have enough power on your Pi to run it.
Try a bigger power supply. If you have too much draw the CPU cannot boot.
