Re: CM4 PCB Design and Manufacturing
I've just had to quit using JLCPCB as they're simply not bothering to restock items on their Extended parts list so I have three designs ready to go and no way of getting them loaded. They even had the cheek to suggest I solder the missing parts myself. A company going downhill fast ! There are rum...

Re: Access CM4 via micro USB port (g_ether module) and connect Wi-Fi adapter to USB 2.0 port at the same time
Fair enough but is that a fair comparision? Is pushing 1.2A into a battery in the elapsed time of an hour a guarantee of a well regulated 1.2A @ 5v supply? Especially if both Apple devices are using USB PD (the Pi doesn't). I'm quite happy to be proved wrong, but given the recommended PSU for the 4...

Re: Access CM4 via micro USB port (g_ether module) and connect Wi-Fi adapter to USB 2.0 port at the same time
Have you tested this? I've no idea if an iPad supports g_ether (it'll appear to the iPad as an RNDIS or CDC ethernet dongle). There is an article on this https://magpi.raspberrypi.org/articles/connect-raspberry-pi-4-to-ipad-pro-with-a-usb-c-cable So there is. I've still got doubts about power thoug...

Re: Can Someone recommend a designer to make cm4io changesthat can so
All; Can someone recommend an organization that can create a circuit board in Kicad if a schematic is provided in Kicad? I am not that experienced yet in Kicad board layout. Thanks; idea-thinker There was video from Digi-Key recently that covers most of PCB layout aspects: https://youtu.be/ge6gYIEN...

Re: CM4 I²C0 and I²C1 connections
Brilliant, I wasn't sure it was a proper I2C bus. Next question: Can I put 2 official displays on Disp0 and Disp1, and/or 2 identical cameras on Cam0 and Cam1 using the same I2C bus? In other words, is there a means of setting different addresses on these identical devices? Take a look at CM4 CMIO ...

Re: CM4 I²C0 and I²C1 connections
Hi, I have not posted before, so if I am butting into the wrong discussion, I apologise. I am designing a motherboard like the CM4 IO board and looking at the SDA0 and SCL0 going into both a camera connector and a display connector on the CM4IO schematic. If a camera and display were fitted simulta...

HI, Iam working on raspberry pi compute module we have designed our custom i/o board. when i insert the cm3 in our custom board, the rpi is not booting. we found we missed 1.8 v supply in our schematic we added later, but still it is not booted. schematic: https://1drv.ms/b/s!AvAuLbPBCqSaeTyyl3alV6y...

Re: USB with CM3 powered by only 3v3 and 1v8
Hello All, If the CM3 is powered by only 3V3 and 1V8 (i.e. VBAT connected to 3V3 and not 5V) do we expect the USB bus to work? I can't see anything in the docs suggesting that it wouldn't but I have seen it mentioned in a forum post. I have a test board where the only power is 3V3 and 1V8 and the U...

Re: [SOLVED] DSI Panel JDI LT070ME05000 bringup issues
If the viewing angle is really good and the brightness is well enough then I am going to use this LCD for a double DIN car stereo project. Can I ask you to take a video of the screen at really wide angles (all 4 sides)? Also at high brightness, to check if it is usable in car. This LCD screen is us...

Re: CM4 - Converting HDMI1 to 3.5mm Audio Jack (Audio only)
Thanks for the reply, The reason why I dont want to sue the PWM pins for audio is they might be not loud enough compared with USB-audio. (I have not experimented, it just a guess). I2S solution sounds so tempting :) , I will look at it as an alternative solution. so I think I would go for USB-audio...

Re: CM4 - Converting HDMI1 to 3.5mm Audio Jack (Audio only)
1. Take a look at Raspberry Pi 4 schematics for PWM to audio jack schematics. 2. Another option is to use audio CODEC on i2s. Good point to start here is to look at device tree overlays list and see if any of those ICs would work for you. For particular ICs look at TI website 3. Don’t forget USB aud...

Re: CM4 Hirose connectors are not parallel
It’s purchased via officially listed distributor in Germany.
Fun thing is that I didn’t notice that on own carrier, since was using this CM as soldering jig to fix connector edges on PCB

CM4 Hirose connectors are not parallel
One of my CM4 modules requires some efforts to snap it to CMIO board. Then I noticed that Hirose connectors are not parallel on CM4 and distance between connectors measured on opposite sides of connectors differs by 0.25mm.
Is it something within margins or manufacturing fault?

Any plans to restock RPI CMDK ADAPTER?
RPI CMDK ADAPTER, board to interface 15 pin camera and display to 22 pin CMIO, used to be available at Farnell as well as other online stores. While camera adapter can be purchased as flex cable, there seem to be no replacement for display adapter. With CM4 CMIO release, any plans to restock those?
