Has there been any progress on this? I'm having the same issue. I've gone with a Ubuntu 20 install for the time being, but it's for ROS. ROS noetic won't install as it's not been released for ARM64 versions yet (I think, because it wont let me install it) and compiling from source is a lot of effort...
