Re: Smart Programmable Power Supply HAT For Raspberry Pi

From the perspective of someone who uses his RPI as a file+backup server + adblocker, this seems like a useful product. However, it is so expensive (CAD$156) that I would never consider buying it.

Good luck though, seems like a nice little PSU.

Re: What ssd drive are you using?

So my 'project' is wordpress shop, and the problem is that the sdcard delivered with the Rpi 4 (panasonic, I believe) died, no computer/mobile even sees it when inserted in. I am looking to buy a cheap/small ssd, but there are so many topics about booting from and using a ssd instead of the sdcard ...

Re: Guide: Install Wireguard On Raspberry latest releases

I've followed this guide up to the public/private key generation. I already have a wireguard server running elsewhere and that server has already generated a config for my raspberry pi (I used this script to install wireguard on my server https://github.com/Nyr/wireguard-install; my RPI is not the s...

Of coarse there are problem with the RPi just as there are with any Macbook or Lenovo laptop.

I have encountered none on my RPi4-8gb however.

Can you compile and run the C program on a non-RPi linux computer? I imagine the process would be the same. Likely need to use GCC.

Re: My Thoughts on Using a Raspberry PI 4 8GB as a Desktop Replacement

@nobozo I enjoyed reading your critique. You made some valid points but I'm not sure if the Raspberry Pi foundation has made the claim that the RPi4 is a desktop replacement (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). I think that's the goal of the foundation, to produce a single board computer that c...

Re: Order of Install? PiVPN, VNC, Plex, PiHole...

VNC comes preinstalled with rpiOS. Just enable it.

I remember when I installed pivpn, it asked me at some point if I had pihole installed, so I would do pihole then pivpn.

Everything else can be installed afterwards.

I'm sure there is an easier solution, however, you could try the following. Note, HDMI-A-1 is my monitor and 2560 1440 is the resolution I wanted, change it according to your needs. Step 1 $ cvt 2560 1440 # 2560x1440 59.96 Hz (CVT 3.69M9) hsync: 89.52 kHz; pclk: 312.25 MHz Modeline "2560x1440_6...

Re: Ive ordered a Pi4 but im not sure i got everything

You don't need an extra keyboard or mouse. You can always use VNC to connect to a RPI running headless. You can also share your mouse and keyboard between your main PC and the RPI; here's a video from the RPI youtube channel showing you how https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-G9IIauHOhA&list=PLcd1Q...

@dh499

Maybe the IP address of the rpi has changed. Are you able to ping it? Goto command prompt or powershell in windows and try to 'ping rpi.address' the rpi.
