Re: installing shairport-sync pi 3

I've just followed the instructions in the blog post above and got the same errors - but the blog post omits the installation extras for a systemd type installation - and the pi has systemd If you follow the installation instructions in the authors GitHub Readme https://github.com/mikebrady/shairpor...

Re: Pre-loved GPS modules for sale... £12 each, limited stoc

Hi, I have a couple of these, which I now have a use for! But the referenced page has gone, so not quite sure of the lead assignments on the module. Don't suppose you still have the details. I've got the spec for the gps chip, but not how it's implemented on your board.

Re: Surveillance camera based on BuildRoot and Motion

Hi - great project. Thanks. A snippet to add - I read all 20 pages of this post, and decided to investigate motionPie as a way to monitor what's going on outside after an incident we had on Saturday night. I had real difficulty getting my edimax wireless dongle connecting. Everything fine on Etherne...

frustration with sftp

I've been building a small server with a Pi2. Specifically it will catch file transfers from a camera, perform some processing and then serve the files using apache. It also needs Samba so that a windows PC can access the image files. The image file storage is going to be on a USB stick, mounted on ...

Re: Automounting usb-disks: How does it work?

Ah ha, thanks for this.

I presume to make this happen you have to be running the standard desktop for this to happen?

So if I'm likely to want the USB drives mounted without it I need to start messing with stab etc?

Re: Minimal Kiosk Browser

Looking forward to trying this later. I use kweb for viewing stations when selling photos (1.3! - not broken and really fast). One of my model B's failed on Friday, and I quickly rebuilt a B+ I had to use Kweb. 1.3 didn't work, and last weeks release (1.5.x) seemed to - but it would work for 5 mins ...

Re: Pure Python camera interface

I've run into a few problems with picamera this evening, and I've found where my issues are. The problem is basically I'm now getting blank frames, about 41kb instead of nice 1.5mb images. I've got a B+, and it's running Picamera 1.7. I've done the update/upgrade routine, and updated firmware using ...

OK, thanks. Just built two more pi kiosks, which have 1.3 on them. The others can stay at 1.1 - it's not broken , therefore nothing needs to be done today :)

Re: Minimal Kiosk Browser

I've been using kweb 1.1 as a minimal kiosk browser, which runs on a private isolated network (for browsing photographs taken at events). It works very well - thank you. I've been reading through the release notes trying to decide if I should upgrade to 1.3 - but i'm a bit nervous as I have a big ev...

I've just tried to start it using the kiosk example file, but with these option, and I get a small browser window the top left of...

Thanks again to Albert and Gartner for organising and allowing us to use the offices. Fantastic turnout (I think Albert said 63 people attended today)

Texy, Normal gphoto2 service resumed.... When you use sudo, it changes the $PATH - I'm not going to try to explain it as I'm not sure I understand all the details at the moment. You can test this by doing this: [email protected] ~/gphoto-suite-install/lib $ env | grep ^PATH= PATH=/home/pi/gphoto-suite-...
