Re: python error in demo file

I suggest you take a step back and assume that it is unlikely that volunteer helpers here will have any clue what you are talking about. What are you trying to accomplish? What tutorial or demo are you referring to for misleading guidance? What is the content of your copy of demo3.py? of snowboydec...

python error in demo file

Hi to all, I am trying to play from the command line python demo3.py resources/snowboy.wav resources/models/snowboy.umdl and I get this Traceback (most recent call last): File "demo3.py", line 1, in <module> import snowboydecoder File "/home/pi/snowboy/examples/Python/snowboydecoder.py", line 5, in ...

Re: Montage HDD sur une Pi 3 B+

C'était bien ça, juste une question d'alimentation. En alimentant directement le HDD, plus de problème.
Eh non, la Raspi n'a pas planté :?

Re: video output with VGA-C connector

Best to try with what you have and a powered USB hub before getting into more complicated solutions. Thank you for the suggestion, but what kind of powered hub would you see? I have no idea how to connect the usb of screen, ps3eye, speaker and mouse/keyboard through a hub to the pi. This? https://f...

Re: video output with VGA-C connector

Drawing just a little current could however tip the Pi over the edge if current were being drawn elsewhere. What else do you have connected via USB or to the 40-way connector ? It might be worth trying with keyboard and mouse unplugged, nothing attached via USB, seeing if that improves things. Remo...

The 3B+ needs three amps. The new (at the time) PMIC on that one has always been a bit power hungry and sets the lower power warning early.
Well I purchased the official power supply that's rated 2.5 Amps for the 3B+ so I don't understand at all.

D0 you mean the Yellow 'lightning flash' show here - https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/configuration/warning-icons.md That's it If so, your problem is due to an inadequate power supply for the RPi board itself, probably worsened by the current drawn by the video interface. I am using a 5V 2...

Re: video output with VGA-C connector

Some of them can be fussy about video modes (try changing the screen resolution in "preferences") or power supplies. Changing the video modes could have been a right guess. I've tried most of them, also with different Hz settings, but no way. I don't know about DVI-C (I've never heard of one of tho...

video output with VGA-C connector

Hi to all, I have a PC screen which I intend to use with my new Raspberry Pi 3 B+ and I exeprience some flickering on this "old" screen, whereas it's perfect on my TV screen with HDMI. Thanks to this thread https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=91&t=83372&p=589714#p635072 I had been war...

Re: Adding an OS to an existing SSD System

Do you mean that I can prepare a FAT32 16 GB partition anywhere on my 320 Go hard disk?
Selecting 16GB on the Matt's webpage will then allow me to select the OS and the resulting pinn-lite.zip file can target this partition?

Re: Adding an OS to an existing SSD System

The problem with these PINN Project Spaces as well as with the PiDrive and NOOBs is that all of these solutions will occupy the whole disk. None of them offer the possibility of selecting prepared partitions (with gparted for instance), so that the disk can have additional partitions with data or an...

Re: STICKY: PINN - An enhanced version of NOOBS.

What does "Remove drive restrictions on Clone SD" mean?
Is it possible to clone a SD or a USB flash to a large hard disk while not dedicating the whole disk to PINN?
When you have a disk with 1To, you may want to keep space for additional partitions with data or anything else.

As far as I am concerned, Berryboot would be my choice if it allowed to install the OS on 1 or 2 partitions of a hard disk. But it takes the whole disk!

Hi,
No doubt that I will grab into it soon. I have just received a Pi 3 B+ for me to play with and I am very much interested in voice recognition. As I understand, no need of a microphone for a start. My smartphone will do?

Code: Select all

sudo lsblk -o UUID,NAME,FSTYPE,SIZE,MOUNTPOINT,LABEL,MODEL

Berryboot me reto...

Re: Berryboot and partitions

It seems that Berryboot is not happy. It claims that it there is no partition to mount. At least this is what I understand from a truncated screen: "... finding or mounting boot partition :-( " I have tested with and without the HDD connected on one of the USB outputs. It doesn't make any difference...

I imagine you solved your problem with the locale. Maybe you can help then?

In raspi-config, I am trying to select LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8 but there is no way to have it done. The system configures LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 each time I am trying. What happens? That should be so easy.

Berryboot and partitions

Hi to all, I have ordered a brand new Pi 3B+ and I am preparing a HDD with several partitions. One of them should include Berrybbot so that I can use more than one OS. Then I will not boot from any SSD but directly from the HDD. I understand that Berryboot will need formatting and I have already pre...
