Hi ghans, You're right. However, I need an Ethernet-to-wifi adapter, not the other way around. This is because the Raspberry Pi comes with the RJ45 ethernet port. Hi,

My goal is to try and connect the Raspberry Pi to the wireless network. I might have understood this wrong, but if I connect a WAP to the Raspberry Pi, wouldn't that defeat the purpose since I would essentially be creating a wifi network?

I only prefer working with the 5 GHz band. It is perfectly all right for me to work with the 2.4 GHz band as well. I'm not sure which of these would yield better options.
