I just priced Allied Electronic. They estimate shipping to be US$18.50 (for 1 lb; there is no lower weight class). So Allied is out of the running. (Their web site was down for a while today.)

I heard that Creatron has stock at C$43 + HST. That's not too different from canada.newark.com's US$35 + US$8 shipping + HST. But I decided that I'd buy two and so Newark is cheaper. Unfortunately, it turns out that Newark is again out of stock and say it will be 29 days before I'd get them. Creatro...

I ordered three from Newark on December 7. The stimulus was that they had an ad on the web page saying "free shipping on orders over $100". Well, 3 * 35 > 100. It turns out that that offer only applied in the US. Even though the ad was on a Canadian page. Grrr. But $8 isn't that bad, especially amor...
