Re: Tkinter Entry Boxes wont work!

My appologies. I paraphrased my code really badly. This is closer to what I am running class CreateWindow(): def __init__(self): self.root = tk.Tk() self.root.overrideredirect(True) ***Then I do a whole load of importing images, setting background and other stuff *** self.messageText = tk.StringVar(...

Tkinter Entry Boxes wont work!

Struggling to get a simple form to work in a tkinter instance. Is there a known issue with not being able to click on tk.Entry boxes? I'll take the key parts of the code out to see if anyone can spot something i'm doing wrong? class CreateWindow(): def __init__(self): self.root = tk.root() self.root...

Launching tkinter window and new lxterminal simultaneously

Hello all How do I prevent the line of code: os.system('lxterminal -e chromium-browser https://www.google.co.uk from pausing the execution of the code beyond this point until the chromium window is closed. I would like to be able to .destroy() the previous tkinter window. Then launch the chromium br...

Re: Alterations to the Chromium Browser

I do not have the RPF modified source code so I'll try and find this now.

Also to make my program more robust I will want to get rid of chromium's ability to exit using [Alt] [F4] as well so I can look for this when I get a hold of the RPF source code.

Thank you for the response @klricks

Re: Alterations to the Chromium Browser

I have found this aspect of the source code. I'm not native to c++ but this looks promising. I am going to continue to look into all of this.

Re: Alterations to the Chromium Browser

Thank you for the responses @botspot and @bjtheone Ideally, I wanted the exit button to function as normal but also run a python script opening a tkinter window. There are different ways I can design the solution to the problem, but I wanted to attempt to integrate this directly into the browser. I ...

Alterations to the Chromium Browser

I am attempting to alter the function of the "close", "restore down" and "minimise" buttons of the chromium browser for a project. I am currently cloning a copy of the source code of the chromium browser over to Visual studio. Anyone have any experience or advice on where I should be looking for the...
