Re: Raspberry Pi does not reboot with powered external HDD attached

I really don't know, but as i encountered really too many weird issues with new USB hubs over years (not rPi specific), i would test another USB Hub just in case... But if you don't have any other one to test, i don't know. Could it be the hub or power supply is faulty and doesn't deliver what the H...

Re: Raspberry Pi 4 temperature

@JohnSoCalUSA haha, this reminds me of when i initially went a little overboard (with what i had at hand) to cool down my Tinkerboard : TbMonster.jpg It was very well cooled down tho. (It had two salvaged heatsinks stacked reaching the fan  Odd thing is that actually helped a lot too.) In t...

Hello c: I read around the topic last night and decided to write a script. However it's mostly for Lubuntu Pi (But I'm sure it should work just fine with others.) For a little ease for newcomers. I divided the script in two parts, the Mate to LXDE with some packages and then the categories. Please ...

Re: Howto: setting up Pi 2 Ubuntu MATE with Raspbian softwar

Thanks for the guide. Have you tested FullHD videos on youtube? How well does it work? Cheers. On Raspbian with the optimized browser the decoding of youtube videos is very low on the CPU, but with Firefox on Mate it uses 100% of the CPU, i don't even know if there is hardware decoding in this case...

Hi, i used two guides to make SquashFS IMGs of Ubuntu Mate 16.10 Beta 2 but it didn't work in the end. Just installed this image. Seems more responsive at first already, nice. What do i need to install on this (which packages?) to use my wifi dongle? There is not wpa_supplicant package in the repos apparently...? Edit: Found the package under another name and installed wpagui. But no module loads for...

For those running or trying to run bukkit, anyone tried Spigot ? I have a question about Hatari, should I have sound? I am not sure if the problem might be because of my lapdock setup with RISC OS... I'm testing the latest version of maxYMiser with a 2.06 US TOS. Anyone ran maxYMiser already?
