Python WiFi communication between 3 Pis

Hi folks, Got a small query surrounding the use of WiFi as a medium of communication between 3 Raspberry Pis. Essentially I am creating a lidar system that has 3 independent subsystems, each controlled by a Pi. The subsystems are: 1) stepper motor control for rotation 2) distance measurement 3) touc...

Re: Wiimote Cwiid - am I disconnected? RPi Electric Skateboa

I come back to this post with good news! I have 100% fixed the issue. So I actually spent a long time trawling through the Cwiid library and wracking my brain to see if I could get a live report on a Wiimote's status - but with no success. Things like request_status were simply too slow and cumberso...

Wiimote Cwiid - am I disconnected? RPi Electric Skateboard

Hi folks, For a bit of fun I created an electric skateboard that has a Raspberry Pi Zero at its heart. I made a YouTube video on the skateboard and (up until now) it has worked swimmingly! You can view the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WLEur3M8Yk I was riding the skateboard today (per...

Raspberry Pi Electric Skateboard

Hi folks, Thought that the forum might be interested in my latest project: a fully functioning, Wiimote controlled, Raspberry Pi Zero powered electric skateboard! I'll let the video do the rest of the explaining! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WLEur3M8Yk Thanks to forum member Joan - the PIGPIO li...

Re: Problem with Moonlight Embedded

Hi there! Apologies for the delay in reply. The GeForce Experience software has recently been updated and thus the version of Moonlight Embedded I was using was out-of-date. A GitHub user called gcutman submitted a pull request and I have just merged it. This should mean that the installation proces...

Re: Meet Raspberry Pi Zero: the $5 computer

Is there I2S (for audio) on there? On old Pi it was via P5 then made available via GPIO and this has full GPIO with backward compatibility ... but the various videos and blog post do not explicitly mention it. Pimoroni seem to have a solution for that: https://shop.pimoroni.com/collections/raspberr...

Picade - Arcade Cabinet Review

Hi Guys, Just a quick post to let you know that I have posted a new review of the Picade from Pimoroni on to YouTube. The Picade is a desktop arcade machine and since so many of you asked for my thoughts on how it stacks up, here we are: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lx8EtrShF5g and you can find t...

TUTORIAL! Steam PC Gaming - stream games using Moonlight!

Hey good people of the Raspberry Pi Forum! A few days ago I released another tutorial showing how to get Moonlight working on the Raspberry Pi in order to stream PC games from a local computer. You can find it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5izHiLW3Jg and my accompanying website here: http:/...

HW accelerated video? Go to youtube.com and test it. About one frame /second.
Incorrect. I have been watching YouTube on it this morning and I would say it delivers at least 30 frames +

Re: Oil Tank Monitor Project

This is really interesting considering the fact that I spent a week at BP HQ doing work experience as a control systems engineer. My task was something along these lines: compare and decide on a technology for the measurement of liquid in a 3-phase gaseous liquid oil separation unit. Essentially it ...

Re: Raspberry Pi - How to control motors...

Back in May Joan suggested you measure the voltages on the pins. You want us to believe your L298N board which looks just the same as the ones with 5V next to the enable pins has different traces than the rest of ours? If you connect 5V to the 5V screw terminal and measure the voltage on the pins b...

Re: Raspberry Pi - How to control motors...

Hello Joan, I was not aware of the gravity of the issue on day 1 and the reason why I left it up there when people were complaining that it had fried Pis was because of my own home testing and discussions with my chinese manufacturers who insisted that my video was OK! They had made apparent changes...

Re: Raspberry Pi - How to control motors...

It would appear that my board is different to some of the others with the way the EN pins have been set up and this has been a most perp...

Re: RPi Rc car not working ok

The tutorial shows gpios being connected to the enable jumper pins. All you need to do is measure the voltage on those pins to confirm they may be at an unsafe voltage. I understand that. But how can 1000s of other people be completely unaffected? If everyone experienced problems then I would stick...

Hello! I am the creator of the tutorial in question ( I think anyway, the link isn't working for me ) and I believe that there is some explaining needed on my part. It is *extremely* unlikely that my tutorials will ever kill your Pi - do you want to know why? Because I test them all myself. On all o...
