the one I used was 4 quid off ebay with 5 quid delivery, not *too* bad. Haven't looked into how you'd drive more than one yet..

Re: Gertboard Assembly Thread

The above shouldn't worry anyone: the buttons provided by Tandy are pretty easily manipulated to fit the board. Just some gentle pressure needed to spread the legs. (Cough.)

Re: X11VNC headless resolution

I don't know how to get x11vnc to increase the [email protected] 640x480 resolution, but I've managed to get 1920x1080 working via tightvncserver, which I believe runs a new X instance for each client connection, rather than sharing the existing X instance, but, hey. $ sudo apt-get install tightvncserver $ vnc...

Re: Gertboard Assembly Thread

Almost finished my Tandy kit. Very good kit but I had to use the Element 14 instructions to find out which way round some of the components go. Tandy should really include this info in their instructions. I'd imagine that everyone (sane) who was planning to assemble the Gertboard has already obtain...

Gertboard driving arduino Lol Shield

Hi, I documented the steps to get a Gertboard driving an arduino LoL Shield. Fun!

Q: Gertboard powered away from pi

Hi, if I wanted to use the the Gertboard like a standalone Arduino, disconnected from the pi, what would be the recommended way to power it?

is there a reason everyone eagerly waiting for Farnell hasn't just cancelled and ordered from Tandy instead? I really enjoyed assembling and using mine. Why would you wait?

Re: RPi.GPIO not working with curses?

is the first one still running when you test the curses one? also, set the pin reference mode first. Later versions won't even run without it: [email protected] ~/dev/curses $ sudo python cursestest.py Traceback (most recent call last): File "cursestest.py", line 6, in <module> GPIO.setup(11, GPIO.IN) RPi.GPI...

yes - that's 8, and 10 yes? They're in place for the sketch upload, and remain in place.

serial read

Hi, some of the arduino sketch examples deliver serial output. Can this be read by the pi? Would I use wiringPi's serial handling or can I just point 'screen' at <something>?
