Re: Crackly audio through 3.5mm jack

sorry if 'm stating the obvious but is your system completely up to date? Make sure you've used "rpi-update" and "sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade". Don did a lot of work on this several months ago that fixed the sound problems for the built in audio, at least for the squeezeplay/squeezel...

Re: Connecting RPi directly to PC ethernet port

Hi itheo92 There's something wrong with your gateway settings there. On a normal home network both machines should have the same gateway ip address, which should be the ip address of the device which connects to the internet. Assuming that neither of these devices connects to the internet the follow...

Re: Headless Squeezeplay on RPI

try this guide http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=15555 As long as you're not after spotify everything compiles fine on armhf. I'd be interested to know if other people have any luck with this. I'm running it using the built in analogue sound, which works fine for a while but the...

Re: Crackly audio through 3.5mm jack

I got squeezeeplay to compile following these instructions http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=15555, there's a more recent post about it here http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=18395. However it's not working perfectly. After several minutes of good playback i...

Re: Headless Squeezeplay on RPI

I have no trouble getting squeezeplay to compile and run, but after a few minutes of good playback the sound breaks up and starts clipping. I've mostly been running it under lxde, not headless though. Have you been having this problem?

Re: Installing Logitech Media Server in Raspbmc

If you want to compile LMS from source look at this post http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=15555. The instructions are for straightforward raspbian but I presume its not too much difference for raspmc. If you're not worried about the spotify plugin you can install LMS in the arm...

Re: Crackly audio through 3.5mm jack

Your new de-popping scheme is working really well with squeezeslave, its not popping at the beginning or between tracks now, only if I end the process while there is music playing. I think the audio quality is better as well. Also squeezeplayer (which has a resource intensive gui) is now working for...

Re: HOWTO: Get Spotify on RPi

Hi,

Are you using HDMI or analogue for your audio?

I'm getting really bad clipping with squeezeplay and analogue but not with aplay and have run out of ideas of what to check.

Steve
