@Mad-Hatter.... I had a similar problem (maybe not the same). I was using NOOBS and @ShortTie suggested using plain vanilla Raspbian. RPi Cam is working brilliantly.

Thanks to both DougieLawson (A ZX80 graduate like myself) and ShiftPlusOne. I did indeed use pi as my login, followed by raspbian as the password, with no good result. @ pistoi0, I would suggest dumping NOOBS and just loading the raspbian image directly to the card. It seems to cause more problems then it is worth at times. Is any one using the Puppy RasPi referred to in the title ? Runs a bit faster that Barry's Puppy Squeezed pup. 01Micko's is Wheezy based I believe and it needs work.

Well this forum looks pretty dead...but I will give it a shot to see if anyone has any info. Downloaded the Alpha 4 Puppy image and changed the bootcode.bin to the raspian version so it would work on my 512mb Pi....Puppy booted up with no problem...yay! Sound doesn't work...boo!
