that being the case, you could try it, ive heard of folks using the RPi as an apache server so in theory it should work. you might run into swap or CPU issues though. Im not sure exactly how heavy apache is on a system.

do you mean a software NAS? a NAS is a network accessible storage device. The RPi, has nothing to do with that in general other then connecting to it. For that you would be dealing with the limited 10/100 NIC or worse WiFi to access that data. As for hosting an Apache server on the RPi, it should be...
