Re: New to Raspbian and Linux? Start here...

Thanks for the tips all.

As a newbie Linux user, I've not really had to use any command-line based whatsits, and so this should help me get up to speed.

Re: Green LED blinking, then stops

I have to say, the "OK" message confused me when I first saw it, but after seeing the Pi boot with a flashing green LED, I figured it was normal. Go me. :D

Re: Mouse and Keyboard Not Responding On Bootup

Great, thanks. I'll look into getting a powered USB hub. If using a powered USB hub doesn't solve my issues, a badly-soldered USB port might explain things. I managed to get the Pi to boot up to the first-time config screen a few times, but occasionally it would start, and as soon as it got to the L...

I'm currently using the official microUSB power adapter that I bought with the Pi from RS Electronics, so ...

Re: Mouse and Keyboard Not Responding On Bootup

OK, so last night I managed to get the keyboard working (I haven't been able to get as far as booting to the UI, so I don't know about the mouse yet). With the mouse and keyboard plugged directly into the two USB ports on the Pi, they don't work, but when I connect them to a 4-port USB hub, and conn...

Mouse and Keyboard Not Responding On Bootup

Hi all, Long-time lurker(ish), first time poster! Although I've had my Pi for a good few weeks now, I've only just got round to trying to get the thing to work. I've had no previous experience with Linux and it's all a bit new to me, so forgove the noobishness. Quick question about the USB mouse and...
