Re: Pi4 HDMI display interference and audio issues

Interference usually means a bad cable or connection somewhere. yeah, was my intial thoughts. it just seemed odd how having ignore_edid on, the interference dissapeared while on the pi input on my display, and appeared while on desktop input on display. I'll wait for my new cables i guess before pr...

Re: Pi4 HDMI display interference and audio issues

A couple more things to note. With hdmi_ignore_edid=0xa5000080 enabled, I also notice some occasional "popping/crackling" coming threw on my display speakers while on my primary input (pc) and pi is plugged into the secondary input, just noticed it as i'm generally wearing headphones. I moved the ca...

I originally started digging around trying to resolve my no audio over hdmi problem which has led me down a rabbit hole of sorts. To begin with I have a clean rasbian install, fully upda...

Re: Pi4 - No hdmi audio

well i resolved all my issues by adding this line to my config.txt hdmi_ignore_edid=0xa5000080 Guessing this generic tv i have has bad/incorrect edid info? Maybe someone who has way more knowledge on this could shed some light. Also I did not need to uncomment hdmi_drive=2, and this line also resolv...

Re: Pi4 - No hdmi audio

Fresh install of buster on a brand new Pi 4 2gb with only latest updates applied and nothing else. I've tried all the recommendations in this thread and whilst uncommenting hdmi_drive=2 in config.txt does give me audio, my whole screen is shifted to the right ~1/3 and slightly up @1920x1080, very mu...

Re: Raspberry Pi 4 temperature

What is the room temperature? I suggest try running with a fresh install of the latest version of Raspbian on a spare SD card. There have been recent changes to the firmware that allow the Pi4 to run much cooler. This log is for an over clocked and over volted Pi4 with one core running flat out for...
