Re: Problem with the Cambridge Assembly Tut.

This what I did to get the Baking Pi tutorial to work on my Mac. http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/projects/raspberrypi/tutorials/os/ Clicked "Downloads" Clicked the "YAGARTO website" link under 1.2 Mac OS X Clicked the "here" link under the Notes section for the SourceForge site. Downloaded "yagarto-bu-2.23....

Thanks!

That helped me get my code working on Python 3.

Script works in Python 2.7, but not Python 3.

Further question (Following my SMTP question)... I started a new thread since this question is unrelated to the original topic. I am trying to get the IP address sent to me as an e-mail when the Pi is booted, following these instructions: http://elinux.org/RPi_Email_IP_On_Boot_Debian import subproce...

Re: Cannot send mail with SMTP: SMTP AUTH extension not supp

Thanks! That worked (using 'smtpauth.earthlink.net').

I tried using just 'smtp.earthlink.net' since that is what Mail on my iMac uses.

Cannot send mail with SMTP: SMTP AUTH extension not supporte

I was trying to send an e-mail following the example in Raspberry Pi Education Manual, Pg. 116 import smtplib from email.mime.text import MIMEText message = """ This is a test message from RaspPi""" msg = MIMEText(message) msg['Subject'] = 'RPi Python Test' msg['From'] = '[email protected].com' msg['T...

Do you have to register to be able to view your attachments? I cannot see a way to get them, no clickable link.

Re: Gert Board Discontinued?

Because I am also trying to find out what is going on which is impossible in weekends when all companies are closed. I was hoping to get info today but the meeting is tomorrow. Any update on the availability of Gertboards? Will they ever be available again as a kit? As an assembled board? Inquiring...

Gertboard for US customers: from Newark? or someplace else?

Can we get the latest on the availability of this board for US customers? I have seen some other posts that say it is available from Newark, and others say it is not. I have seen the link to Gert's forum posting, but that still did not clear it up. I just got an e-mail from Newark saying it is not. ...

Association request to the driver failed

I have my Pi running 2012-09-18-wheezy-raspbian. It has an ASUS USB-10N wireless adapter plugged into a Belkin powered USB hub. Everything has been running fine for the last week. This morning I power up and now I cannot get an Internet connection. I get a "Association request to the driver failed" ...

Re: 2 Questions: Temp Sensor and LEDs

Its the temperature (C) internally inside your Pi processor, not the ambient temperature you are reading. Right, it is a CPU temp monitor. It just seemed high (46 C - 115 F). The Pi processor did not feel that warm. I mentioned the room temperature just a comparison, the CPU did not feel that much ...

2 Questions: Temp Sensor and LEDs

1. After updating to the 9/18 Wheezy distro I enabled the task bar temperature monitor. It consistently reads 44 - 46. What unit is that in? It is around 75 F here in Atlanta, GA, so I doubt it is F, but being in C would make it 110+ F. That does not sound right either. 2. When running, the red powe...

Re: Configure asus usn-10

RockMachine - Did you get this to work? I bought a ASUS USB-N10 and had it working within an hour. Here is what I did (I am using the 2012-08-16-wheezy-raspbian distribution): 1. I followed Step 4 and 5 of this post: http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=13733 It basically added thi...

Re: will not boot, red light only

I think this command is wrong: $ sudo dd bs=1m if=2012-08-16-wheezy-raspbian.img of= /dev/disk1s1 It should be: $ sudo dd bs=1m if=2012-08-16-wheezy-raspbian.img of= /dev/rdisk1 Sounds like you were writing the image to the partition, not the disk. http://elinux.org/RPi_Easy_SD_Card_Setup#Copying_an...

Re: Brand new Pi will not boot.

[Sorry for the delayed response. I spend Labor Day weekend a Dragon*Con in Atlanta] I used a multi-meter to test the voltage at TP1-TP2 with the USB power supply I bought. It registered 4.95 volts with just the red LED on, and dropped to 4.73 volts when the green LED flashed. This was outside the sp...

Brand new Pi will not boot.

My brand new Raspberry Pi will not boot up. I get a constant red LED and a flashing yellow LED (it flashes 3 or 4 times, pauses, and repeats). The monitor flashes the multi-colored square. One of the suggested solutions in the troubleshooting area of the Wiki says that the kernel.img may be bad and ...
