Re: Raspberry PiP - A Pi Power Solution

I need a better way of shutting down my xbmc media server pi, if it's powered from USB on the telly.

Re: Running out of disk space

So the messages came back "PHP Warning: Module 'mysql' already loaded in Unknown on line 0" after a quick google, I found out that the mysql module was being loaded twice so followed the instructions here on how to fix it: http://colekcolek.com/2011/12/16/fix-php-warning-module-loaded-unknown-line-0...

Re: Nullmailer

Other files to configure: /etc/nullmailer/adminaddr [email protected].com (the address where you want the email sent) /etc/nullmailer/defaultdomain mydomain.com (I don't understand the significance of this, can anyone explain) /etc/nullmailer/me $hostname.mydomain.com (I don't really understand this one e...

Re: Nullmailer

I've edited /etc/nullmailer/remotes and inserted the line

Code: Select all

mail.server.com smtp --port=25 [email protected] --pass=changeme
obviously changing the server, port, user and pass. I'll see what this does

Nullmailer

I'm using my Pi as a LAMP Web Server and one of the problems I have is with my error logs. A program may create a log entry which is fine, but then a small program called Nullmailer tries to send the entry as an email. This would be fine if i had Nullmailer configured properly, but as I don't it goe...

Re: Running out of disk space

In order to slow things down a bit I worked out where the messages were stored. sudo su cd /var/spool/nullmailer/queue/ then you can use nano to view the messages. I'm not sure I really understood the message. Something about mysql being already loaded, but I'll look into that more later. In the mea...

Re: Running out of disk space

The first thing I've done was to get the size of the log files under control by editing /etc/logrotate.conf. I've changed the frequency from weekly to daily, and set rotated files to be compressed. Now I can have a bit more of a look around. For people new to Linux and log files, this page helped me...

Re: Running out of disk space

Thanks Dweeber. Just what I needed. I had expanded the partition to fill the 8gb space. As expected it was /var/logs. The folder is 5.5gb. The main files that stand out are syslog, mail.info.1 and mail.log.1 as they are all over a gig in size. Don't really understand why, especially the mail files a...

Running out of disk space

I've had my pi for a few weeks now, and am having a few problems. I've installed Raspbian, chromium, apache, MySQL, php, vnc server and I'm trying to install zoneminder. Twice now I have run out of disk space. The first time I filled a 4gb card and assumed this might be down to the number of program...
