Re: Berryboot v1.1 - Boot menu / OS installer

I'm experiencing a bug in Berryboot that has apparently been fixed by a recent kernel update (see M33P's post at http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=23544&start=300 ). Would it be possible for you to update the berryboot kernel to this new version, since rpi-update doesn't...

Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

Is there any way to start emulationstation over SSH? I normally run my raspberry pi without a keyboard. When I'm in emulationstation I can use my xbox controller to navigate, so I don't need a keyboard for that, so it would be useful if I could start it over SSH, instead of having to plug in the key...

Raspbian or raspbmc?

If I want to have LXDE, XBMC and RetroPie running on my Raspberry Pi, is it easier/better to put raspbian on the SD and install XBMC or start with raspbmc and install LXDE? Is there much of a difference in performance between the two? Also, what is the best way to install XBMC on raspbian? I assume ...

Despotify with xbmc

I've installed despotify and xbmc on the new debian wheezy image (despotify using the Pi store, xbmc using http://michael.gorven.za.net/content/xbmc-raspberry-pi. Is there an xbmc addon that you can use to control despotify? If not, is there any other way to get spotify working from within xbmc?

Is there any way to use the new turbo mode with this? As far as I know using that is the only way to overvolt without losing warranty.

no talloc stackframe around, leaking memory on XBMC

I've been starting XBMC over SSH on Raspbian, streaming videos over SMB. The first time that I play a video after restarting, a message usually appears on the SSH console saying no talloc stackframe around, leaking memory. This also happens if I start it from the Raspberry pi itself, but the message...

Re: Updating to the 2012-09-18-wheezy-raspbian image

I can't work out how to set a static ip address for wlan0 after using the gui wifi setup. My /etc/network/interfaces looks like this: auto lo iface lo inet loopback iface eth0 inet dhcp allow-hotplug wlan0 iface wlan0 inet manual wpa-roam /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf iface default inet d...

Re: Raspbian binaries now available (MESS, MAME, neogeo)

I downloaded quake 3. when I try to run start.sh I get an error saying:

Code: Select all

10446469: vchiq_lib: Very incompatible VCHIQ library - cannot retrieve driver version
* failed to open vchiq instance
The game then doesn't start. I'm running raspbian using berryboot. What can I do about this?

Can the pi automatically switch between 3.5mm and HDMI?

On a PC I can play music from speakers, but if I plug headphones into a 3.5mm jack the speakers are muted and sound plays through the headphones. This doesn't happen automatically on the Pi. Is there any way to set it up? My monitor doesn't have a 3.5mm output, so I can't plug headphones into the mo...

Re: Speech Recognition with Pocketsphinx

Your instructions seem to need a usb audio card with both input and output. How would I set up the pi to use the built in audio output but have a usb microphone as input?

Re: XBian - Small, Fast, Lightweight XBMC solution

I am getting a "no talloc stackframe, leaking memory" message when I boot up and sometimes when I play a video. I'm not sure what this means. It seems to work normally in other ways. I'm using berryboot to dual boot xbian with raspbian.
