Re: read quadrature encoder with raspberry

I'm still testing the code, apparently it's working well, including on the raspberry pi 4

thank you very much

read quadrature encoder with raspberry

Hello I would like to know if it is possible to read a quadrature encoder (chanel A, B) identifying the direction of rotation of two motors like these: ( https://www.banggood.com/CHIHAI-MOTOR-6V-100RPM-Encoder-Motor-DC-Gear-Motor-with-Fixed-Support-Mounting-Bracket-p-1230683.html?cur_warehouse=CN ) ...

raspvid at 60fps has a small field of view.

Hello

Why, when running the raspivid -w 640 -h 480 -fps 40 command, the field of view obtained by the camera Pi v2 is larger than that obtained by the same command, however with 60fps?

Is it possible to get the same field of view at 60fps and 640X480 with a camerapi v2.1 and a raspberrypi4?

thanks

Assign permanent access names for infrared sensors

Hello I am working on a project that needs two infrared sensors (left and right). I would like to define the permanent access names for each infrared sensor. Example: #left sensor dtoverlay = gpio-ir, gpio_pin = 19 --- >>> /dev/lirc0 --- >>> /dev/input/event0 #right sensor dtoverlay = gpio-ir, gpio_...

Re: How to monitor two infrared sensors individually

Hello

I resolved the issue by implementing separate threads to monitor each sensor individually.

Re: How to monitor two infrared sensors individually

Hello I thank you for your answer, it helped me a lot. I implemented a small python script. He must check every 100ms if there is a code received in each sensor (left and right). However, I always need to delete the old read values that are in the queue to be processed. Is there a more efficient way...

How to monitor two infrared sensors individually

Hello I am developing a project that needs to monitor two infrared sensors (vs1838) at the same time. It is a robot that detects a value encoded in NEC (or RC6, RC5, whatever). If the signal is detected on the right sensor, it turns to the left and vice versa. I know that the LIRC package is a great...

Re: battery shield for overclocked raspberry pi 4

Hello

Thanks for the answer.

I bought the batteries as being genuine ...
I will test using another usb cable.
In the ad description it says it can support a maximum of 3A.

battery shield for overclocked raspberry pi 4

Hello I recently bought this battery shiled V8 ( https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32969695165.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.2742b90afKVvhf ), which promises to supply up to 3A. I use an overclocked raspberry pi 4 and I can't get past the 600Mhz range ... The raspberry is always showing low power. Could ...

Re: Low framerate on Raspberry PI 4 + PiCamera + Python + OpenCv

Hello For all those who are experiencing problems with low FPS on the Raspberry PI using OpenCv and Python use this script (author CarlosGS). I got very good results, but it will only work with the PI Camera. The python script uses the raspibian native raspividYUV command and obtains the gray scale ...

Re: usb camera vs PI camera with OpenCv and raspberry pi 4

I don't know how fast you need, but it's far more likely the processing of the frames is going to be the choke-point, not the camera. Do you need more than 30 fps if you can only process 3-10? hello, I would like 30fps 1280x720. Testing with a PI 5mp camera and without any image processing the open...

Re: usb camera vs PI camera with OpenCv and raspberry pi 4

I don't have a direct comparison, but I can point out some things to be aware of USB2 will limit frame rate at larger image sizes. That might not be important to you, but check the specs if the camera is USB2 only, or if you are using a Pi3, which only has USB2. If you are using a Pi Camera, the ri...

Re: usb camera vs PI camera with OpenCv and raspberry pi 4

thanks for your reply.

I read something about high FPS using raspividYuv and python, capturing the video in gray scale. However, I didn't find very good examples to try to implement.

usb camera vs PI camera with OpenCv and raspberry pi 4

Hello I would like to know what is best to use with a raspberry pi 4, a Usb webcam with mjpeg support or a Camera Pi? I will use the camera in a python project with opencv. Which would give me more frames per second? Here is an example of a USB camera that I thought about purchasing: https://www.ali...

Low framerate on Raspberry PI 4 + PiCamera + Python + OpenCv

Hello I'm trying to get continuous video from a PiCamera on a raspberry PI 4. I need a minimum resolution of 1280x720p and 30 FPS. I'm using Python 2.7 and OpenCV. In the future OpenCV will try to identify a Marker Aruco, but at the moment it only displays the video stream. With low resolutions (320...
