Re: EEPROM not writing or reading (fully)

The 24c16 uses 8 bit addressing while the 24c64 uses 16 bit addressing. Also, the 24c16 and smaller address memory blocks via bus addresses 0x50 -> 0x57 while the 24c32 and larger address it all via 0x50 I don't know what software you are using for read/write but this is where you need to tell it. ...

EEPROM not writing or reading (fully)

Hey there, I've been following this guide for writing and reading an EEPROM chip using the GPIO/I2C of the Pi. My soldering is fine, the Pi recognizes the existence of the EEPROM on i2cdetect as i2c-1 0x50, but when I read from the chip using i2c-tools/eepromer/eeprom, it reads up to offset 000000f8...

Re: RS & Allied Update #3 (27 Sep)

I ordered mine 29th June and I emailed RS about some mess-up with emailing. They said mine will be dispatched Friday or Monday, which is a bit poor seeing as my order number is well below the "Last Order Dispatched" number for this week.

Re: RS & Allied Update #3 (27 Sep)

RS pushed my order back a week... for the second time.

I am extremely close to cancelling my order as well. I've already waited over 3 months, which is why I'm reluctant to cancel.

I am severely disappointed, but at least they're trying to get on our good side by sending us patient-ers rev 2.0 boards.

Re: Latest Order and Shipping update from RS & Allied

If they didn't get paid until they supplied the goods then at least they would have an incentive; as it is they've got the cash already so why should they bother? I don't trust them - I cancelled my order with RS and now I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. I haven't cancelled my order (yet) bu...

Re: Latest Order and Shipping update from RS & Allied

What ticks me off is that my order reference number is 101012XXXX so I'm actually 12 orders behind the August 20th-26th dispatch time. And due to that tiny difference, it's an extra 5 weeks waiting time for me

Re: Order and Shipping update from RS & Allied

If I hadn't already waited 9 weeks, I would cancel my order too. Not only did I have to wait 11 weeks, I now- after being so close- have to wait upwards of an extra 5 weeks. I really hope that they don't give me more reasons to never order from RSc ever again. The new chart showing delivery times is...

RS Components Courier?

New poster, hello :) I was one of the last to register with RS Components, in late June, and consequently was the last to receive my purchase invitation, and consequently, the last to receive Raspberry Pi  But now I've got a snag. The other day, I came home and saw a slip that said from Yodel ...
