I updated mi RPi4 8gb today with update-upgrade command and it comes with new kernal 5.4.83..the issue that i have is when i play any video on YT inside Chromium it freezes after a couple of seconds and all i can do is to unnplug my Pi..the same goes with any video in VLC or Kodi..i tried with 3 dif...

After installing new kernal 5.4.47 there is a problem watching anything in full screen mode..i've got screen like yours..goes full blur and normal picture is gone..to be able to watch anything in full screen i needed to enable compositor in raspi-config, but then tearing started to show again…window...

I assume that everyone reporting this issue with Bluetooth has done a recent sudo rpi-update command ? if so you have installed the latest 5.4 kernel and also a new firmware with faulty builtin hardware Bluetooth support. Just updated Rpi4 4Gb model to the latest kernel 5.4.47 via sudo rpi-update and i found out Bluetooth is missing...icon is gone and i can't access any BT device..latest version of RP OS fully updated and upgraded, also latest version of bootloader from June 15th..any help?

Now it's not even starting anymore :( how can I disabled it in the config files? You are not doing something right... sudo raspi-config advanced options enable/disable compositor finish then reboot I have enabled it through the UI and restarted when asked so. unplugged now for 2 minutes and no vide...

Does adding force_turbo=1 to config.txt help? (if you have overclock, remove it first).

I added force_turbo=1 in config.txt, without OC and after few minutes of watching Live TV in Chromium screen goes black again..

Same here..a lot of ppl with this issue and all video playback related problem..YT, VLC or any random video from any site when watching from Chromium..black screen and system goes unresponsive.
