Re: Raspberry Pi Imager For ARM Devices

Why? Raspberry Pi Imager is already in the repo with deb packages for both 32 and 64 bit versions of ARM and x86 architectures . $ apt-cache show rpi-imager Package: rpi-imager Version: 1.2 Architecture: armhf Maintainer: Floris Bos Installed-Size: 721 Depends: libarchive13 (>= 3.0.4), libatomic1 (...

Raspberry Pi Imager For ARM Devices

Okay, I decided to compile the official Raspberry Pi Imager for ARM Linux devices. Almost anyone might be able to do this themselves, but I decided to provide a pre-compiled .deb file for you all here for the sake of convenience. Please let me know of any issues, I would also appreciate anyone telli...

Re: Running steam and a few games on the rpi4

I'm assuming that if I was using a Raspberry Pi 4 instead of a 3b+ I wouldn't get this error:

Code: Select all

You are missing the following 32-bit libraries, and Steam may not run:
libc.so.6

Can't Read Superblock On Raspberry Pi USB

I am trying to build a custom kernel for my Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ from a different boot. I insert my main sd card, it reads it, but when I try to mount it, I get this error: mount: /home/pi/linux/mnt/fat32: can't read superblock on /dev/sdb6 At first I thought my sd card was corrupted, so I insert...

Re: Files Missing To Quake 3 On RetroPie

Are you using the files from the Q3A Demo or the Full Version ? If the demo, are you using pak1-pak8? These are missing some files as the patches are expecting the full version. I have no idea, let me see Okay, so adding all of the original pk3s to /retropie/home/pi/.q3a/baseq3 fixes the grid probl...

Files Missing To Quake 3 On RetroPie

Alright, so I installed Quake 3 Arena from the RetroPie packages menu. I restart emulationstation and found Quake 3 under the Ports menu. I played it, it's very fast, but with one big issue. Some maps refuse to load saying something like "Could not load map" and some maps that do load have this weir...

Re: Cannot Start pcmanfm Using Debian Terminal Environment

It is not clear which model Pi you are trying to do this. Stretch is not going to work on a 4B. Are you sure you correctly added the required environmental variables to .bashrc and sourced it? I fixed the variables, Stretch no longer complains about them. But pcmanfm still does not start, I am usin...

Re: Introducing Pi386

Does pi386 come with xorg and systemd-container? :?:
Figured it out myself, it does not. So I installed them. But when I try to launch Dillo Browser after installing it I get this:

No protocol specified
Can't open display: :0.0

Can anybody help?

Lineage OS Can't See My Whole SD Card

So I downloaded Lineage OS 16 Android on my Raspberry Pi 3b+. I installed a few apps and even got Minecraft running. I check my storage to see exactly how much I had left, and it says I had used about 2 out of 4 GB of space. The issue is I am using a 32 GB SD card. Can anyone help me fix the problem...

Cannot Start pcmanfm Using Debian Terminal Environment

I really wanted to run x86 on my raspberry pi, so I followed this tutorial. However, before doing this built and installed a custom kernel for my operating system following these instructions. I finished step 5 in the x86 tutorial, then tried to install pcmanfm file manager running these commands: s...

Windows 95 Not Booting Properly From Bochs On Raspberry Pi

I ran these codes to get Bochs: sudo apt-get install bochs-x sudo apt-get install bochs-sdl Then in this directory, /home/pi I added the Windows 95 image (I chose version A) from https://all*****s.com (I'm fairly certain it's legal) and added a new file called bochsrc.txt and typed in: fl...

Shortcut Master - Easy RPi breadboard project THAT STARTS ON EVERY BOOT

This code - taken it works properly - will initialize whenever you reboot and execute a command at the push of a button. Though it requires some solder-less breadboard knowledge. This project is best suited for the nerdier of us :geek: and some people might not want to put the effort/money into thi...

Re: Desktop Not Working Properly After Update

Hi. You are using the old update commands, you should now be using ( Jun/Jul 2019 ) sudo apt update sudo apt full-upgrade the old commands don't pull in all the required dependences , were as the new commands do , this can lead to the sort of problems you are having and the file manager was one of ...

Re: Desktop Not Working Properly After Update

if that don't work, try the preferences> appearance> default, then reboot. you'll have to redo your settings, but doesn't look like you changed much. i remember that happening to me once when i switched the file manager to advanced instead of simple. THAT WORKED! Thank you. http://u.cubeu...

Re: Desktop Not Working Properly After Update

Segmentation fault means the program got corrupted somehow. This can happen occasionally if the upgrade went wrong, if you have a bad SD card, tinkered with something off-limits, etc. You can fix it with: sudo apt install --reinstall pcmanfm I just tried this, it does not work, would you recommend ...

Desktop Not Working Properly After Update

After changing the background (also known as the wallpaper), all of my desktop folders and applications suddenly disappear, then reappear again. I didn't think much of it at first, ...
