Raspberry Pi Pinball Cabnet

Hello, I am posting this to get some feedback and advice on my new idea for a Raspberry Pi pinball machine. Here is what I am thinking: Build a pinball cabinet complete with flipper buttons, launch plunger (maybe), tilt switch, maybe another set of buttons for additional features. And instead of hav...

Re: Door Bell Server

Quick update on my doorbell server: I have successfully built a RPi circuit that monitors the existing door bell coil. The picture is attached. I ended up putting the doorbell coil in parallel with the control relay coil and used a 13VAC Dayton control relay; this was because I measured 13VAC across...

Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

Has anyone tried to run the (x86) games? I installed a couple but not sure what to use for the sound card settings?

Anyone have any idea on it? I installed Day of the Tentacle, and Sam & Max hit the road but can not get the sound working.

Thanks in advanced for your help!

Re: Door Bell Server

I am also having a hard time finding a AC coil relay rated for 20VAC....Can I use a 24V DC relay?

I probably want to go solid state or optically isolated if possible to be sure ac power isn't leaked to the GPIO circuit.

Thanks for the help,

Re: Door Bell Server

Hahaha. Yeah, that would pose a problem when you were not at home.

Anyway, I am interested to see your webcam server project. Any online notes posted? Also, I am a greedy owner of 4 Pis....I love Pi!

Thanks,

Re: Door Bell Server

UPDATE: I actually have built a few software apps that talk with each other via socket messages. The server is on the RPi, and it is written in python. It supports multiple client connections, and given a command from the clients, will echo it to all the rest of the clients. The door bell switch is ...

Door Bell Server

I'd like my raspberry pi to act as a "Door Bell Server". Basically, I can not hear my door bell when I am in the basement of my home. So, I thought if my computer played an audio file and gave me a little popup or something, that would be AWESOME! Also this allows for future features that would be V...
