Feh sort by mtime not working

This is somewhat related to another post of mine, but I think it deserves its own thread. I am using Feh to display images from a directory that is being updated via bluetooth. I would like Feh to only to only display the most recent addition to the directory. I figured this could be accomplished by...

Photo Display: Replacing old content with new

I am creating a photo display using a raspberry pi and have run into an issue with updating the contents. I am using Feh to monitor and display the contents of a particular directory, but I would like to be able to transfer an image into this directory, and have the new image delete and replace the ...

Hide Desktop/Terminal behind video

So, I am using hello_video to playback videos, and calling it from a shell script in order to play different videos (the script is doing the logic to determine which video). It is functioning fine, but when I call a new video, there is a pause in between during which I can see the terminal (or deskt...

omxplayer playback choppy

So I am using omxplayer for very basic playback of h.264 encoded mp4 movies. When I play them, the movies play very choppy, as in freeze frames every few seconds. It does this with all different resolutions. I also have the processing power split so as to maximize power gpu processing. Now, I would ...

Re: Startup Files Corrupted

Also, I'm not sure how they created the verified peripherals list, but I have a few apple keyboards, and the ones they say work don't work, and the ones they say don't work do in fact work, so I would approach that list with a grain of salt.

Re: Startup Files Corrupted

but isn't 1A more than enough headroom to accommodate for fluctuations? I mean, I was successfully booting this thing off of 500mA, albeit not with any peripherals. I heard somewhere that it is dangerous to give the Pi more than 1200mA. I know how current works, and I realize the Pi is only going to...

Re: Startup Files Corrupted

I should have mentioned, my Pi is being powered with a 1A psu, which should be ample power since my peripherals consist of just a mouse and keyboard (i often unplug these during a boot). The SD card is brandname and wasn't cheap (although, perhaps there is a suggested brand of card?).

Startup Files Corrupted

I am a bit of a noob, but I am experiencing a problem that I'm sure others have encountered. Almost every time I shut off my Pi, I cannot turn it back on. The red light comes on, but the green light does not flash. Sometimes, if I then re-image just the startup files, it will boot again, but not alw...
