Your options here are, exchange the M.2 drive for an mSATA drive that will work in your Renkforce Pi-102 adapter (hopefully you haven't damaged anything trying to use the other drive). Return the mSATA adapter and purchase and NVMe USB enclosure for the 970 EVO (expensive, and still no performance ...

sudo nano /boot/cmdline.txt < Opens but where on earth am i supposed to paste / type this text below ? It should not matter. they are all arguments to the kernel. Personally I would put it before "rootwait". sudo lsusb Its a good idea to show us the output of these commands, not just the commands.....
