Re: H Bridge and motor control for multiple motors

This is the kind of motor I am looking to use: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00UYT8ONC/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?smid=AIF4G7PLKBOZY&psc=1 I need something very small, and it doesn't need to drive a great weight nor do it for very long. Im talking about something that can rotate a 30-40g piece of ...

Re: H Bridge and motor control for multiple motors

Is a Pi Nano a Raspberry Pi product? Pi Zero sorry. You haven't mentioned what current your motors require so it is difficult to give an IC recommendation. You can get "darlington arrays" which are an IC package containing a number of "darlington pair" transistors which can be used to drive devices...

Re: H Bridge and motor control for multiple motors

I'm going to say you don't need H-bridges - those are an arrangement of four transistors that allow you to reverse polarity to the motors. For your purpose, a single transistor module for each motor - perhaps these IRF520 modules will do. https://www.amazon.com/KeeYees-IRF520-Regulated-Arduino-Rasp...

Re: H Bridge and motor control for multiple motors

Hi B.Goode, From what i have read on Raspberry Pi forums when searching up how to connect a motor, you shouldn't connect it straight to the Pi but should use a H Bridge. Happy to be told otherwise, but this is why I am assuming I need to use a H Bridge, because of what I have read in the run up to p...

Re: H Bridge and motor control for multiple motors

No need for reversible, and no need for different speeds - so long as the speed can be set to something (I dont want them to be too fast) they dont need to change during operation. Im not sure about the current draw as the parts im looking at (very small motors) dont state the current draw or resist...

H Bridge and motor control for multiple motors

Dear all, I am creating a project where I need to control 12-16 motors simultaneously. This would be for very short bursts of time (1/4 second) and only be controlling very small motors. Only one or two motors might need to run at once, but all of them need to be controlled individually. I am trying...

Re: Position sensing

Hi, Thanks for the replies, sorry about my late response... The forum told me it would email me when the post was verified! I'll have a look at some BN0055 chips, they seem to be reasonably easy to purchase! Not 100% what I want but with some maths and basic user input they will do just what I want ...

Position sensing

Hi all, Im semi-new to Pis and have a strong background in programming. I am starting a project whereby I augment reality with a falling object (using augmented reality glasses) and I want the computer to be able to work out if the user catches it in their hand. To do this I want to design some glov...
