Variable data serial communication

I use Python (Raspberry Pi) to send data to Arduino. With this Code I control Arduino from my Raspberry: Python from sensors.gyroscope.mpu6050 import * import serial import time ser = serial.Serial("/dev/ttyUSB0", 115200, timeout=0) time.sleep(0.851) def on(): ser.write(b'1') def off(): se...

Re: Serial communication stops working

Solution: place the
ser = serial.Serial (....
time.sleep (1)

Out the While.

Re: Serial communication stops working

Yes, I am clear about the indentation (the 4 spaces / tab).
At what point should I use ser.flush ()?

Re: Serial communication stops working

1. I moved ser = serial.Serial ("/dev/ttyUSB0", 115200) before the " while True ". But, even though the information is sent to the Arduino with ser.write, it does not arrive unless you put a " time.sleep(1) " before the " if ". I realize it is being sent to th...

You're opening the serial port each time you go through your loop. Move it out of the loop.
I am new to the topic of serial communication, can you help me more? I mean, I understood what you said, but, I don't know what to do.

Serial communication stops working

I am controlling an Arduino from Raspberry via serial communication. I have this code on Arduino: int led = 12; void setup() { Serial.begin(115200); pinMode(led , OUTPUT); Serial.setTimeout(100); } void loop() { if (Serial.available() > 0) { int command = Serial.read();; if (command == '1') { digita...

Multiple stepper motors

Hi. I want to build 2 robot arms connected to a Raspberry Pi. My problem is that I do not want to make it small and use servo motors. I want to use bigger and more powerful stepper motors... therefore I don't find many tutorials on how to link 8 step motors and control them from a single Raspberry P...

Raspberry pi zero of 1GB of RAM?

Hi.

I'm seeing that they sell a Raspberry Pi Zero with 1 GB of RAM, is that official? Because the Raspberry page says it is 512 MB.

Give me your opinion, please. That's true? Do you recommend buying it? Do you know a safer place to buy it?

No.

Not if you want it to continue working.
Is there a smaller alternative?

Cut Raspberry Circuit

Is it possible to cut the Raspberry Pi Zero W card?
I want to make it smaller by removing what I won't use (like the LCD).

It's possible?

Or fold it in two.

Greetings.

Hi.

I want to be able to control my Raspberry with my voice. I am trying to use Jasper, but I get many errors at the time of installation, I think it is discontinued.

Re: Raspberry motor controller

Actually the L298N only controls two DC motors at a time. For some reason they have put two motors on each output, but they will be both on/off at the same time. Most motor driver chips control two DC motors. Thank you very much for your answer. Is it possible to use two L298N cards and have 4 serv...

Raspberry motor controller

Hi.

Look at the min. 4:40 - https://youtu.be/X7tqmrf8tYI
I have seen that it is a widely used controller. My question is: does it only allow 4 motors to be controlled?
Do you recommend a better controller that supports more engines and better capacity?

Greetings.

Raspberry pi 4 cluster

I am seeing that when you make a cluster of Raspberry (join several) the power is increased. My question is: 1. Is this true? Can I have a powerful computer with 2 raspberry pi 4 attached? 2. Do you know any good method to join only 2 raspberry? 3. Internally, how does it work, how is it possible to...

Update Raspberry code via app

Hi. I plan to sell a product that I am going to make with Raspberry Pi. My problem is that I can't think of anything for my clients to update it remotely (when I offer code improvements), something like an app that is linked to the raspberry and they start downloading. Do you know any open source? G...

Re: Motors for robots

Do you remember what Archimedes said about a fulcrum and the earth. In your case think "gears". That's right, but imagine that the servomotor is extremely small, because of friction it is physically impossible for a truck to, although in theory it is possible. However, if the servomotor i...

Do you know any open source robot arm that has image recognition and voice control?

Or just something that can help me in creating a robot arm, or some advice. I say it because I am new to Python and Raspberry.

Raspberry PI 4 vs Smartphone

Hello.

My question is: which is faster, an android Smartphone (for example, 6 GB RAM) or a Raspberry (4 GB RAM)?

I'm just judging it by RAM, but, maybe there is another component that I don't know. Maybe the processor is better, I honestly don't know.
