Re: Standalone Mopidy Radio

Did you get anywhere with this? I'm looking at doing a similar thing myself. I'd love to see a detailed teardown of your setup!

Upgrade Soft to Hard float.

So I see the latest iteration of Arch has the hard-float implementation. Is there any way to do this upgrade from within an existing soft-float installation? It would be a pain to have to set up everything all over again!

Cheers,
Dave

Re: Missing btime in /proc/stat/

btime is there, as 0, which is obviously not acceptable for ps (in this case, and I'm sure there would be other examples) ps aux missing btime in /proc/stat What I would be intrigued to know is the mechanism by which the normal boot up via sysvinit seems to 'spoof' the btime. Even when, because no e...

Missing btime in /proc/stat/

I'm trying to swap my Pi to a systemd init instead of sysvinit, but I keep on running into problems with the clock - particularly that /proc/stat doesn't have a 'btime' set which causes ps to cock up with the error "Missing btime in /proc/stat". Any pointers?

Just in case this info helps (feel free to delete if it doesn't) Using latest kernel (3.2.27-1) and firmware (20120820) from Arch repositories, with cmdline.txt smsc95xx.turbo_mode=N dwc_otg.lpm_enable=0 console=ttyAMA0,115200 kgdboc=ttyAMA0,115200 console=tty1 loglevel=2 root=/dev/mmcblk0p2 rootfst...

Re: Kernel Parameters

Well that's a start! If I have time I might try to condense the more useful ones into a wiki page.

Kernel Parameters

I think it would be useful to have, on the Wiki perhaps, a full list of the kernel paramaters that can be specified in cmdline.txt and what they do. I can't really find any coherent information anywhere, just dribs and drabs on the forum and various other places!

Re: USB - the Elephant in our Room

A couple of questions: Are you using WiFi exclusively for your network connection? Are you using a hub? Most likely you are. If you unplug your WiFi adapter does your HDD stay connected? The Pi is plugged directly into my router via ethernet, so no usb wifi adapter. It's plugged into a harddrive wh...

Re: USB - the Elephant in our Room

Just a bit of input on the USB issues I have found. I've only had problems when transferring large amounts of data over USB. After a little while I get all kinds of errors, and my hard drive disappears from /dev/. The errors are along these lines: Aug 14 19:01:24 alarmpi kernel: [ 594.106004] usb 1-...
