Speed and Networking issue

I installed Raspberry Wheezy and the GUI is pretty slow and Networking does not work. All the light are lit up on the board and the connection is good at the switch, but no internet. Is wheezy kinda slow or I am just spoiled?

Installing Google Chrome in Raspbian

Hey folks.

I've used linux before (actually running Ubuntu on a PC), but am new to Raspbian on RPi. I was wondering how i go about installing the Google Chrome browser. Is there a way to do it through the GUI?
I have a 32gb SD card so space shouldn't be an issue.
