Re: [Guide] Kodi on Raspbian Buster

Guys, I am getting Kodi freezed on exit like 80 percent of the time for last 14 days. The crashlog is not generated and I am forcing the Raspberry PI 4 to reboot so I don't need to unplug cable. Anyway it take quite a long time for reboot to kill Kodi and reboot. Any guide how to get the log or any ...

Re: Pi short circuit

I am wondering about the damage. Happened to me almost the same. I don't know which pins were touched. I moved my sensor connected on 3v3, ground, sda and sdl and unfortunatelly touched the table knee with my sensor. These are made by some steel. The Pi just halted but I did not found any damage. Ha...

Re: Execute program (Kodi) by web request

Kodi already has a web interface once it's running. What do you need extra to that? I am using normaly the pi as a my main computer. If the Kodi is running nonstop, then I am not able to use the computer on anything else. If it is possible to run Kodi on only one hdmi and desktop on second of rpi4 ...

Re: SSD Boot - config.txt - SD or SSD boot config is used?

Hi Guys, I used this guide to get SSD boot https://www.stewright.me/2019/10/run-raspbian-from-a-usb-or-ssd-on-a-raspberry-pi-4/ My questions is which config.txt is used - from SD card or from boot sector of SSD? Almost certainly the one from the SD card. The bootloader can't access the SSD. Thanks!

Re: SSD Boot - config.txt - SD or SSD boot config is used?

cmdline.txt and config.txt live in /boot and are read in the boot process from the boot device, which is still the SD card. I keep 3 versions of cmdline.txt (the default one cmdline.txt, cmdline.usb, and cmdline.sd) copy the appropriate one to the default name, reboot and you have switched between ...

Re: Execute program (Kodi) by web request

That's easy answer. And you are right about learning! :) I am running Hassio (Home assistant) on the PI. I will do automation to turn on Kodi when I turn on projector. The webrequest is done by Hassio. When I will have a solution how to run Kodi by webrequest (or differently) I will investigate whet...

I am 99 percent sure it is due to low power. What else are you connecting to USBs?

Re: Powered USB preferably 3.0 HUB

For me that one here works fine: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07RL74YHZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I chose that one since I can use the 5th output to directly power the Pi and, on top of that, have a power switch for each port, so I can switch on/off Pi power w/o having t...

I did install Ubuntu 18.10. Turning the desktop effect off, the system works flawlesly. So it's pure Raspbian issue.
