Re: Piracast (Miracast on Pi) Beta Release

I have a LG G-pad (LG-V500) and I got the following output. wps passed! read_all_sta: read_all_sta: read_all_sta: [/code] For some reason, it doesn't successfully connect (but it does show "Piracast" under the Wi-Fi direct setting. Any idea? I got Piracast to work at home! After several read_all_st...

Re: Camera module! (And a picture of JamesH)

this is not about open source Its all about Open Source. in the fullness of time then broadcom may embrace it , May this be the last Product i buy from a Company that behaves like this. just face it we're not going to get access to the crown jewels in the near time I'm sure when the original amount...

Re: Not user friendly

Yes I quite agree with that assessment of Linux. I find it to be a most patronising system. Things like "The kernel owns the GPIO pins" No, I own the GPIO pins, I payed for them, they are mine. The contract that says you run Linux therefore you relinquish your rights, would not stand up in a court ...

Re: Bulding XBMC for Raspberry Pi

Hi pvrlers, I am using xbmc-pvr for years, had my on gentoo based squashfs setup and than switched to Openelec as this is fairly the same that i had ;) I recently switched from vdr to to the tvheadend plugin as xvdr was maintained very well.

Re: Weitere Boards erst Anfang Dezember ???

Hab heute mal ne Anfrage gestartet wann mein im Juni bestelltes Raspi geliefert wird. Kann also dringend zur Bestellung bei Farn...

With Chromium under Arch, the personal bar to access the control panel, does not show up.
I used firefox to change the theme, now Chromium is ok ;)

Re: looking for volunteer programmer.

It turns out that my USB to Printer converter isnt supported, it´s a Profilic PL2305. The only one supported from lcdproc is the lucent uss720 usb2parallel converter. Please let me know it that has changed. There are several other ways to use a hd44780 with lcdproc, you can use one ftdi usb2serial c...

Re: looking for volunteer programmer.

I am too interessted into using my 16X2 LCD with XBMC on the raspi. I managed to get the LCD working via GPIO and the python GPIO Library with the sample code from the forums. To use this LDC via GPIO and XBMC i think one would have to implement a whole new Plugin which is over my Horizont ;) I woul...
