Had the exact same thing. Luckily I had another SD card with wheezy on it so I just switched to that. Interested to see what happens, I had a few files on the old card I'd like to get back though...
I think I solved it - in case any one else has the same problem. I had to download the .tar file (basically a Zip file). I put that in the pi directory and then extracted it. Then I ran the setup.py script (as sudo because it didn't work otherwise). The setup.py file installed all of the modules. Th...

I think it's great. I have had my Pi running for 4 days now and have used all of the python tutorials, ordered some parts from Tandy so that I can try the GPIO, and read all of the articles. It's perfect for a noob like me has taught me loads.
