Online Python Course

Anyone else signed up for the Mechanical MOOC Python course?

I'm excited, this is the first 'course' I have done in around 15 years!

Re: Pi won't boot after update.

Had the exact same thing. Luckily I had another SD card with wheezy on it so I just switched to that. Interested to see what happens, I had a few files on the old card I'd like to get back though...

Re: Scratch Bug

I have the same problem. I can't find any image files in my Scratch directory, where are they stored?

Did you just rename them to .png or did you do some fancy conversion?

Thanks

Re: Think Python - Turtle World

I think I solved it - in case any one else has the same problem. I had to download the .tar file (basically a Zip file). I put that in the pi directory and then extracted it. Re: how good is the magpi

I think it's great. I have had my Pi running for 4 days now and have used all of the python tutorials, ordered some parts from Tandy so that I can try the GPIO, and read all of the articles. It's perfect for a noob like me has taught me loads.

Re: Can we have a Scratch section

Yes, I second that! I got my Pi recently and thought, I'll set my 8-year old to learn Scratch and I'll learn Python. Hopefully by the time he gets past Scratch I'll have something to show him. I have noticed along the way that I have solved some of my own problems by looking at Scratch, as it is rea...
