Broadcasting Video

Hello! I've been fiddling with some pi zeros for a while but struggling to find the set up I want. My devices are all behind a 4g network so I can't port forward. My plan would be to be able to broadcast from multiple pis to a NAS or server over the 4g network. Ideally I would like to be able to emb...

Re: How to turn off Camera IR LEDs?

Hi Guys Sorry to drag up an old post but it is very relevant to what I'm working on at the moment. Does anyone know if I can turn the camera off altogether to disable power to the LEDs? I need a low power solution (Ireland, solar) and plan was to trigger cam with a PIR is activated. Is it possible t...

Re: Limiting power usage

Almost certainly it is because you haven't told ffmpeg what frame rate the video stream is at. It is creating timestamps for the stream (as an H264 elementary stream doesn't have any), and will be defaulting to 25fps. You need to insert "-r 5" into the ffmpeg command, probably just before the "-i -...

Limiting power usage

Hello! I have a Pi Zero W with IR Cam and I'm going to be running off a battery pack that will be recharged by solar. I need to keep my power usage to a minimum so I'm trying to stream at a lower FPS to YouTube. Unfortunately it causes buffering and says it is running at 0.2x the speed (for example)...

Re: A few questions!

Pis don't have any analog inputs. You will probably find it advisable to run the output of your pressure sensor through an A/D converter and feed the digital signal to the Pi. Thanks, that's useful. I was hoping there was some sort of controller I could get for the depth sensor that would provide a...

A few questions about running a web server.

Hello! First time Pi user here, long time nerd. I'm currently working on an interesting project, or number of projects and I want to tie everything up using a Pi. I have done a bit of reading but due to lack of time I'm hoping a kind person might help point me in the right direction on a few things ...
